Cool. It should come in at a decent length then.

If you doing it in hard mode then it should last about 10 hours (maybe a little less, my Son did it 9 hours but it took me 10:15).

But after you done with it Crushing mode is totally worth another go.In crushing mode it took me almost 12 hours to complete. The AI ismuch smarter and forces you to completely change your play style.  No way you can stay in cover for more than a few seconds. Crushing mode is frustrating some times, enfuriating other times and massive fun all the time :)

PS: I got all the 1000 medals and both Cartoon Drake and Doughnut Drake are hilarious to play with ;)

rant
My current opinion is that motion controls are one of the worst features of the PS3. I have nothing but unreserved loathing for what developers have included in PS3 games to take advantage of this "Next Gen Feature". For every halfway decent implementation like Heavenly Sword, there are several games with motion controls tacked onto them like an extra fake breast surgically attached to Jessica Alba's neck. I'm not saying motion control is the devil, I'm just saying that it is really detracting from the gameplay of many PS3 games.
.
Take Folklore. I like Folklore. It had a good story and decent gameplay for the most part. The process needed to rip Ids from many larger folk, however, amounts to a minigame that rips you out of the action of the game. I still liked the game, overall, but the motion controls did more to annoy me than anything else.
.
I was ok with the steering of the dragons in Lair until they did the same thing and tacked on those stupid fucking motion control minigames. The only time I want to make jerk off motions with my hand for long periods of time is when I am actually jerking off.
.
Thankfully in Ratchet and Clank, they kept the motion controls to a minimum.
.
The Wii took the motion control idea and ran with it. They designed everything around it and it works great and makes the system something truely different and entertaining. On the PS3, it is like an extra steering wheel to control the back wheels on a car. Maybe something cool can be done with it, but most of the time its just flat fucking useless.

I completely disagree about Folklore. I think it has the best motion implementation of any PS3 game with Heavenly Sword being a close second. I thought the boss battles in Folklore were somewhat like God of War except that instead of pressing some button combination to finish the boss off, you're using motion controls in a really satisfying way.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

I thought the idea of having to use different folk on bosses was really cool and made for some great boss battles.  After such well done gameplay though, the motion control minigame just took all that excitement I had built up from beating the boss and hit me with a cold shower.  There is no excitement in the minigame and I can't see any reason for it to be there.  The feeling is akin to crossing the finishline in Gran Turismo and being immediately forced to play Paper, Rock, Scissors with the 2nd place driver to see if you have to race again to make sure you won.  The only motion control that was decent in the game was the quick flick that you used to tear an id from a folk.   Those did not break the flow of the game.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

Sure, I'll do a short movie with all of them... will work on this over the weekend (with my video camera so expect bad quality).

Thanks, I have no concern over quality

I hope I get my ps3 back soon, so I can finish this game. I got up to where the demo begins, and then BAM, I can't play anymore. :(

I finished Uncharted first time in 8 hours on hard, and absolutely loved it.
The last few chapters were awesome (anyone who has finished it knows what i'm talking about ;)

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

I'm on Chapter 20 or so now and the game is pretty good though I'm not a big fan of the last plot twist. The controls are a little buggered compared to Gears (which I just played a bunch again last week) and I'm not a big fan of the "leap of faith" gameplay Naughty Dog seems to have ripped from Tomb Raider.

Other than that, the story is a lot of fun and I wish there were a few more puzzles and less "send the baddies at me in waves" style of game.

PS. Naughty Dog should be ashamed of themselves for creating an AK-47 where throwing your clip is more effective than firing the rifle, a Colt M4 that actually performs decently, and an early 40s German assault rifle that absolutely annihilates the enemy. Ugh. Something doesn't make sense there. If I ever meet someone who took 9 rounds from an AK at close range, I'd like to shake their hand (if it hadn't been blown off already).

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Haha, yeah I totally agree about the weapons. I just stuck with whatever pistol and shotty that were in good supply. Still thought the game was a blast, though.
