Sony's Kevin Butler: Still Promoting PlayStation?

Sony’s incredibly popular spokesperson has apparently ‘left’ Sony’s lucrative VP postings to pursue leading his own company.  Today via Twitter, Kevin Butler announced that “a man can only be made VP so many times; KB’s off to be PRESIDENT of my uncle’s new upstart company.”

There's no word on just what exactly is going on with Kevin Butler’s new direction, but good money places it on something Sony relatedCould this be a new viral campaign?  The start of a new alternate reality title, perhaps?  Or is Sony getting into the flooring business?

The Kevin Butler campaign has been hugely successful for Sony, inciting a malicious following of fans to all things KB.  Today’s announcement is still probably under Sony’s banner, but we’ve contacted Sony for more information on just what the former VP is up to.

So far, all we could get out of a spokesperson for SCEA was this:  "Stay tuned. We'll have more info on KB's new upstart career shortly. In the meantime, keep following his tweets."
