So now that Deus Ex: Human Revolution has been released, how do you plan on playing it? Will you be stealthy? Will you run-and-gun it? Will you be a smooth talking hacker? Personally, I'm going to focus on a stealthy approach and put points into hacking and social. I'm still debating, though, on whether or not I want to try for the stealth based achievements Pacifist (complete the game w/o killing anyone except bosses) and Foxiest of the Hounds (complete the game without setting off alarms).

Stealth based killer is how I usually try it. I'm intrigued to find out how the social aspect fits in though, so I could try elements of that. Just replaying the original now and I basically try to find every avenue possible so lots of exploration and analysing options before I try anything!

Anyway, we don't get it until Friday so I'm very jealous!

when i'll get it it'll be stealth killer too ^^ and i'm gonna take way too much time to do it, as usual with stealth games ^^.

One hand on keyboard and the other in my pants.

Well I just got the game and tried playing it non lethal stealth but throughout the first hour had to resort to lethal weapons or just sneaking pass the whole area since I ran out of ammo for my tranq and didn't have any stealth augs yet like cloak to help out.

They don't have an augment for that.

Trying lethal stealth but so far I've encountered a lot of positions that have caused me to abandon that and rely on all out firefights. Having limited ammo really would make it difficult for someone to run and gun the entire game.

I'm not sure, I am very bad at stealth in general, I only got through MGS 4 by playing on the easy version of medium...

But I have read that run and gun is not the best, so I am hoping I can go for semi stealthy... but I don't think that is going to work. I do, however, quite want to punch through some walls

The annoying thing is that it was posted on Saturday (6 days before UK launch!! thank you game!) so I really hope it will come tomorrow!!! (though cause I have Dragon Age II to play, I decided to finally finish Dragon Age 1, and that has been keeping me busy)

I have bought it yet, but when I do, I will play stealth. One of my favorite aspects in gaming. So exciting!

"Foxiest of Hounds"

That's a great call-back. =)

I don't have this game, and I wasn't really planning on getting it, but if the stealth action turns out to be really good, I might consider it. I've always been a fan of MGS and Splinter Cell.
