B/W is the first pokemon game that tried to change things and it has this sense of mystery since Gen 1-4 pokemons weren't included till the end.. i think it makes the game really interesting. I missed on gen 3 and 4 so i think B/W put things back on track

The top 10 is good, I didnt play all these games but as far as I know they are all quality titles. Here is my personal top 10 by the way:

1. Dragon Quest IX
2. Dragon Quest IV
3. Advance Wars : Dual Strike
4. Dragon Quest V
5. Final Fantasy IV
6. Castlevania : Order of Ecclesia
7. New Super Mario Bros.
8. Contra 4
9. Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals
10. Dragon Quest VI (tie with FFIII)

As you can see I'm a huge DQ fan...

Also B/W had a very interesting post game, and trainers up to level 70 were not uncommon, plus you can battle your rivals post game. B/W is possibly the biggest single Pokemon game (Gold/Silver have 2 games in them technically)

Lots of JRPG's

Here is my top 10, but note I'm still working on a few big games. I only touched DQIX and Golden Sun, so they could very well come strong on my list.

On my TDL (I have a few cause I actually only play my DS when I'm out) finish Front Mission, HeartGold, DQIX, Golden Sun, Suikoden, and by this point I should get a 3DS, but If not, Knights in the Nightmare.

Edit: I didn't put Chrono Trigger on, but thats because I beat it as a SNES game, and look at it as a console experience. If it had to go on this list, it should go on top because Chrono Trigger is my favorite game, but actually I'd put it just above Front Mission because #1-4 are games designed to be played on the hardheld, and are very fun even in the 15 minute bursts I get to play them. CT and Front Mission are longer, more in depth games which are better on console (but FM isn't bad on handhelds as it is mission based).

If all the pokemon fans had united toward the end then it probably would have been pokemon vs pokemon... oh well i guess

Dragon Quest 9 is probably the best RPG since Skies of Arcadia or Final Fantasy X (not including remakes), so I am not surprised. Although I am a little more fond of Dragon Quest 5, mostly because it is a much more satisfying story, with much better characters than anything else on DS - followed by Chrono Trigger which is also amazing (one of the very best ever) - but lacks the same level of charm that DQ5 has.

RPGs have been really down lately - usually the result of genre dominated by games which barely qualify as RPGs on home consoles nowadays (such as the sludgy boring generic PC-style rpgs like Jedi Knights of old republics, or the really cut down grind/video/grind RPGs like FF13... Or the so called "Action RPGs" which really are not RPGs at all, but adventure games with some RPG elements). It is also a huge shame that PSX RPGs are not remade, as many of the best ever are on that system - certainly A LOT better than RPGs that have come out in the past 10 years.

Nice to see the Advance Wars in the top 10.
