Basically I like SRPG's and JRPG's. The 4 important ones to me are Advance Wars (both) Front Mission, and Fire Emblem. I'll fight for most JRPG's, but I won't whine when you try to kill one.

But you know I despise these elimination games; they take forever to resolve. Why not include some sort of mercy rule that says that once a candidate earns a certain amount of hp, all other candidates are eliminated and the candidate that crosses the mercy threshold wins?

That's too complicated, and then people will tend to spam one or two games. in the PSP thread MGS: Peace Walker at one point had 150HP, and although it won at the end, it did dip to about 5 HP, or 1 vote from death. Things change, and it's fun seeing them change.
