I was just wondering. I always liked the game. I know it used to be consdiered by most to be the worst Final Fantasy game, but what is it that people hate about it so much?

Because it was the worst Final Fantasy of its generation.

Yeah... FF8 is not the best FF for me but I enjoyed it more than FFX... in fact I loved the battle system and the story plut it still have the best card game of any FF.

I Love FF8, ... but its because it wasn't FF7-2

Final Fantasy IX is widely regarded as the best Final Fantasy on the PlayStation. That wasn't FF7-2 neither.

Same reason people hated Wind Waker. It wasn't like the game that came before it, though it was good in its own right

Highest rated for good reason, and this is back when the rating system wasn't broken.
