A recent thread I was called Catholic. I then realized that their are plenty of Christian's on VGChartz and they never get a chance to voice out what their actual beliefs are without being attacked usually because they post their beliefs in a non-Christian or related thread.

So I decided to create a thread for all Christian users of VGChartz to vocalize just what denomination they are and what differs their beliefs from that of other Christians.

So if you are Christian and you are a member of VGChartz what denomination are you (couldn't list all denominations in the poll so I limited it to Protestant denomination's , Catholic denominations and non-denominational!

What beliefs do you believe that make you that specific denomination?

If you are non-Christian, feel free to post. But this thread is tailored for Christian users. Flaming and attacking will be reported. This should be a civilized conversation about the different denominations. If you believe in a denomination different than another user please refraine from personal attacks.

Reformed, Calvinist. But in the end, Christ alone for salvation. By grace, not works. All who believe in Him are equal as part of the Body of Christ.

I am not entirely sure what I would be considered. My family belongs to a denomination where we believe Yahovah is a Demiurge who formed the universe in ignorance of 30 higher Gods.

The 30 Gods and Goddesses share a collective consciousness and existence called the Pleroma. Sophia was the youngest female of the 30 Gods, and went off on her own to find the origin of everything, and upon getting lost she became lonely and conceived Yahovah on her own. She was ashamed of him, and so hid him away and in his ignorance of everything, felt he was the original being, and brought the material universe into existence.

Sophia's divine power was scattered among the souls of humanity, and her consort from the Pleroma was born into flesh to bring Sophia (the soul of humanity) back to the totality of the Pleroma, the true divine power of the Universe, and not the false Yahovah of the old testament who was a jealous and flawed being, and not a true God.



Anyway, I am not sure if this falls under Protestant or not, anyone know what my family religion falls under?

Oh, one more detail, we practice in underground Temples, and in groves, because Cathedrals and Churches are a celebration of the material universe of Yahovah, and not the true path intended by Jesus.

im none denominational. meaning i believe in what the Bible says; nothing more, nothing less. i dont add or subtract from the book, twist meanings or otherwise

I used to be Christian but stopped believing / going to church after a friend that went to the same church killed himself. I was already having doubts before that. Anyways, I believe there might be a God and I kind of just merged a bunch of religious ideas together to form my own religion. I am not a big fan of organized religion and believe to hold your own beliefs is better than just merely being a sheep/follower.

Rich coming from you, you can spout a lot of what you say as calmly as you like, it'll never be classed as civil though.

I'm not religious, but out of curiosity: What exactly are protestants? Are all those different American denominations under the protestant category? Can someone explain the different denominations a little to me?

Haven't you ever heard of the Reformation?
