Forums - General Discussion - Top Ten Towns/Cities Of The World- Voting Thread

Since I haven't really drafted anything up on this site recently I have decided to create a thread which allows you to vote for your favourite town/city in the world. You can only vote for one so the real top destination can come on top. Here's mine:

Ottawa, Canada

Ottawa lies on the border between Ontario and Quebec and is also the capital of Canada. When I visited it seemed a perfect Summer destination. The river (or canal, not quite sure) that flowed through it was magnificent with the houses dotted around it. The roads are laid out well, including the Parliament Buildings. I don't know if I'd enjoy the cold winters there though.

While I haven't lived in Ottawa I do know many people who grew up in Ottawa and they all hate it. Frankly other then the tourist attractions there isn't much to do if you're living there long term. Toronto is a much better city =P

Really, although Thornhill is quite nice in Toronto.

I'm just picking the city that i've been to that I like the best.

And that would have to be Rochester MN, USA. A perfect sized city (about 100,000) with one of the most prestigious hospitals in the world (Mayo) an awesome underground city network that is like a big mall. Really the only thing I think it's missing is a Theme Park.

Just one? Prague is probably the most beautiful city I've ever been to but I have only spent half a day there...London is pretty nice as well with lots of awsome pubs!

So, eh...*flips button*
London it is!

Wellington NZ is a lovely city. It's even better if you can find it on one of the ~3 days a year where it isn't windy as all hell.

It'd have to be a big city with a bustling night life. Montreal, where I live, is decent. Toronto is good as well. Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong would be awesome.
Ottawa seems like a very boring place to live. Any city under 1 million in pop would probably bore me.

Cuenca, Ecuador!
Meh, just kidding.

North Tonawanda, Buffalo was the nicest place I've ever seen in my life, I loved every second I was there.
