Forums - General Discussion - What is your favorite Television Show and Why?Weekly Ratings update! ~ " What did you watch today?' The Office is finally ending its run in America'

Since the OP is talking about our current favorite, I'd have to go with Fringe. I really have no words to descibe how amazing I feel whenever I watch it. I love pretty much everything J.J. does and this is a fine example of superb writing.

Spartacus is a close second. Most people who know only a few thing about the show think that its all sex and violence, but if it was only that the show's ratings would have tanked by now. It has brilliant writing and some really good performances (especially by Lucy Lawless as Lucretia).

Games of Thrones is by far a better show than Spartacus and I've thoroughly enjoyed every episode, but still I get way more excited for a new episode of Spartacus.

From comedies I absolutely love Hot in Cleveland, The bing bang theory and Community.

Yes, I do watch more tv than I should...

Btw, I don't remember being more upset about a tvshow getting cancelled than Legend of the Seeker. :(

As of right now I would have to say that my favorites, that are still airing new episodes, are as follows:

Hot in Cleveland
Bones
NCIS

Sorry to skip the three that you mentioned, but Charmed is great! I started watching repeats about a year ago during the day, and was hooked on it and Supernatural.

and ofcourse The Legend of the Seeker!!!

Oh yeah, Charmed is my all time favorite.  I thought we were going for current shows.  I also enjoy The Legend of the Seeker.  I'm actually really looking forward to the new CW series, The Secret Circle, that comes out this fall.

Jersey Shore because it's hilarious.

Ninja warrior unbeatable banzuke cause you can't beat them.

The good wife and True blood can't really decided between the two.

Game of thrones. Great acting, story and production values. It helps that they don't hold back and that it's uncensored.

Dexter and Entourage

I just recently watched a few episodes of Entourage not thinking it would be for me, but I really enjoyed it. It was the episode where someone from his posse stole a statue at a rich persons house or something. IT was funny and had good writing.

Yes. I remember that. I actually find each character funny and relatable to my own group of friends....one of my friends even went as far to say that Entourage is the male equivlant to sex and the city

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Except Sex and the City was more interesting and more charming. Honestly, why do they have to make shows about men be so boring?

"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"

"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

"If you cant stand the sound of your own voice than dont become a singer !!!!!"

My personal top 5 list (only shows that are currently airing):

1. Modern Family - very funny show; the most charming and likable cast of characters since Friends.
2. The Big Bang Theory - very funny and huge nerd appeal.
3. Parks and Recreation - very funny, and original premise; never would've thought a show with such a premise could be so awsome.
4. Damages - thrilling show with a memorable bad ass antihero.
5. The Good Wife - not your average lawyer drama
