Welcome Basel. I see you have stumbled upon a hidden gem of the Chartz. I have high hopes for the second half as well. Get us off that farm please!

Alright! Lets get "The River" trailer out of the way first.

What is this show about? People trapped on the Amazon or something? Looks to be interesting!

Commenter howling over my early predictions in 2012 for Are You There, Chelsea? and Whitney could be counted on for its consistency, but the comments had to be based on prediction of the shows' future ratings, something I do not do for my predictions (although to some extent Robert's Bubble Watch does).

After last week's continuing decline, down to a 1.4 adults 18-49 ratings for both shows, a bit more of the future is revealed and those ratings, even given the woeful state of NBC's primetime, make both shows no better than a "toss up" for renewal or cancellation come May. Of course, future changes in their relative ratings can cause future prediction adjustments, howl in advance if you'd like!

The cancellation bear can play the bubble game too!

The Renew / Cancel Index above includes results beginning January 2, 2012. How did NBC's shows stack up based on their Fall results? Click here.

*shows no longer on the air have their Renew/Cancel Index "frozen" at the point they left the schedule.

** shows that have not yet aired new episodes in 2012 have their Fall 2011 predictions listed instead.

Notes:

  •  - certain to be cancelled by May, 2012
  •  - more likely to be cancelled than renewed by May, 2012
  • :| :| :|  - toss up between renewal or cancellation by May, 2012
  • :) :) :) :)  - more likely to be renewed than cancelled by May, 2012
  •      - certain to be renewed by May, 2012

Chuck is gone. Is there anyone on here that will miss this show? I never took the time to bother myself, but I heard it was a fun show. I would much rather watch Burn Notice!

They are saying that Whitney is on the bubble. People watch that!

Community is good to go!

Sons of Anarchy was renewed for its sixth season, so congrats to them.

The Finder is having some mediocre ratings. Still on the bubble on whether it will be renewed or not.

Even though Person of Interest Ratings are going up, it seems the show is still going to be cancelled. Sorry Archbrix!

Anyone watching Fear Factor? Well Man Bear Pig broke a story the other day about contestants being made to drink Donkey semen and Urine. Pretty digusting stuff if you ask me! Are they just stealing ideas from Jack Ass? Still a fun show and  I am glad it is back.

Make sure you all check out the OP for the weekly ratings!

Phineas and Ferb!

Every character is awesome, but Perry/Dr. D are especially awesome together.

(sorry I am replying to a really old comment!) XD

Phineas and Ferb is a really great show! Did you see the movie?

Well. The other new NBC Thursday comedies are not that good. So you can pretty much bet that the rest of its lineup will be back again. Plus Community does well when it comes to DVD sales and other merchandise. They even had a Soundtrack off of the first season. Ratings are down in the mid 5's. So as long as they do not think of anything to replace it with it should be alright. They are on hiatus right now. 30 Rock has taken its place. But NBC has said that it will air all 24 episodes. Based on those ratings they will make their decision on whether or not they renew it. Still its odds are pretty good.

30 Rock and Grimm will almost certainly be renewed. In case anyone other than myself and pbroy cares.

House! Its ratings are down in the dumps, but it is still such a great show! Monday night was the first episode that I have seen in a while, and it was extremely good. Anyone watch it? I do not want to ruin it for anyone. But it was great! What will FOX replace this amazing show with? Probably Alcatraz, which has a smaller production cost and about the same amount of ratings. Great Job Sam Neil from Jurrasic Park.

In fact Alcatraz an Touch ratings are so good that Terra Nova is now on the bubble on whether it will stay or go. We shall see.

Finally here is The River review from IGN. Anyone get to see it yet?

http://tv.ign.com/articles/121/1217857p1.html

7 for the pilot episode and 7.5 for the recent one.

30 Rock is getting terrible numbers these days, never saw the appeal myself.

Alcatraz is still pulling decent numbers, but dropping each week - hoping it can stabilize soon. House having over a million less people doesn't help as a lead in though. I think that show has run its course, I don't know how the formula hasn't exhausted its audience already.

Also I can't believe the numbers Two and a Half Men still pulls in even without Charlie Sheen - Incredible.

Lastly I hope Smash fails - such a bad show.

Smash is one of those shows that does well on the cable networks. Maybe Disney or Hallmark or even ABC family. They have enough of them on those channels. No need to make us sit through them some more on basic channels.

I enjoy 30 Rock, but it is off and on. After a while Baldwins raspy voice gets annoying and over the top. Even right now it is kind of making me sick thinking about it. But there are some good lines and stories on that show. Also The Office has leaped in quality since Steve left. It wa a sinking ship. I really am enjoying it a lot this year.

Wow Office is seriously better? Lost most interest in the past year or two, might have to check it out again.
