Forums - Sports Discussion - Any gun owners on VG?

Hey I was just curious whether anyone else here on VG is into guns, hunting, shooting, etc. I just recently finished all the necessary courses and sent away all the paperwork to get my PAL (Posession and Acquisition Licence) in Canada so I'm not far from getting my licence and getting my first gun!

Anyone already own a gun (or multiple guns)? I'm looking at buying a Russian SKS as my first gun. Its only around $250-300 in Canada and I've heard its reliable and fairly accurate. I'm also looking into handguns, possibly the CZ 75B and/or a Tokarev TT-33.

Whatever, I just wondered how popular guns are on this site. Not sure how gun ownership works in Europe but in Canada and USA its not that hard to get guns.

Around the Network

i have a Ruger 10-22 semi auto rifle(.22)
Henry Repeater (.17 special)
12 gauge shotgun
.38 snub-nose smith and wesson revolver.

and dont know much about guns (probably more than most though)
and i plan on taking some classes to become more proficient with guns, and when i turn 21 (stupid that you cant at 18) i will get my conceal and carry.

yeah, I used to shoot competitively in school too. Now and days I just hunt.

I have a Ruger .22, and a 12g shotgun[pump]

The last couple months I've been looking in to getting a couple left handed guns, since I am left handed, but it's hard to find them around here =(

Edit: And even though I'm only 19 I am already half way to getting my concealed weapons permit. Now I just need to turn 21 :P

Actually, now and days it's more or less a useless piece of paper. You can't carry the gun into anyplace... =

Well I'm British, so the only guns we can have are either shotguns or .22 rifles with a license.

My friend has a shotgun and I often go shooting with him, it's pretty damn fun. I have a card which I can use at my local shooting grounds, they let you use a shotgun and you just need to pay for the shells.

But me, I only have an air rifle, it's rusty and beaten but it's surprisingly powerful, it can be used for hunting no problem.

What part of the US do you live? It's quite easy to get guns on the east coast.

This aren't actaully pictures of mine but are what I own.

Remington 870 express 12 gauge

Saiga .308 semi-auto

I also have a 50 cal muzzle loader but it was given to me and I have not idea what model/make it is and don't feel like pulling it out.

Missouri, its actually not to hard here, surprisingly Jay Nixon (D) (our governor) has lessoned a lot of the gun restrictions, though he still hardly pro 2nd ammendment.

there used to be retarded restrictions on "assualt" weapons and things of that nature. but my main gripe is a 18 year even after classes cant get his CC until he's 21. also there are so many restrictions on where you can take it, even with a lisence. like having a rule/sign saying no guns allowed here is going to keep people who want to do harm from bringing their gun there. "sorry sir you cant go on your mass murdering rampage here, as you can see we have a sign that says no firearms, could you please go else where with your blood thirst, you will be braking our rule if you dont"
