Dont get me wrong, its good and in the top tier (top 10 or so) Jrpgs this gen but its FAR from 'the best' JRPG this gen imo, I would be VERY surprised to see it top 90% aggregate at the end

But we all know reviewers opinions are worse than useless this gen, maybe a free copy of a FPS or TPS was bundled with it in the review pack just to get them to rate it higher, haha

wait, I don't think I missed out on many JRPGs from this gen, which games are better?

It looks like my predictions aren't coming to pass, seems I was wrong about its reception, at least for now. That's good. 28 hours in and I'm literally stunned by the well thought out, well polished gameplay. Even the story has me on edge, I literally don't know what's going to happen. It's such an intriguing title, well deserved of these scores. It may very well go up there with Chrono Trigger and company as one of those all time greats. At the very least it's likely the best of it's genre I've played this generation.
