I do not know when it changed but in the USA drug companies were not alowed to air commercial advertisement of their drugs to general consumers. Since this has changed drug commercials are one of the most aired commercials i see. Since this has started it seems like people feel they need more drugs to be healthy and go to doctors to get the drugs they see on tv. I wonder what kind of effect this has on our health care system and what you guys thought about. And if the lack of tv ads in other countries has any effect in those nations. I personally feel the commercials should be banned again or better regulated.

It makes us overburden our health care system for drugs we don't need.

I have  spinter in my finger, I need a prescription for Wooditout.

I have a hair growing on my nose, I need a prescription for Nasalair.

I have skin all over my body, I need a prescription for Dermagone.

My government is $15 trillion in debt, they must have a prescription for Spenditol.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

That is the way i see it also. that it places an extra burden on our health system.

Hmm in Germany there was always drug ads just not for the heavy stuff. Actualy most of the drug ads target the doctors because they ultimatly decide what you get exactly the brand stuff or the generica. Dont know how it affected the health system all I know is they have the most expensive healthcare on the planet and went so much to the doctor that they had to introduce a symbolic fee so they wont come as much.
