Rumors all over the place. I know this topic has been done to death, but new information is always good to know.

"Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming to the Xbox 360. This is not a rumor. This is straight from a Konami distribution representative’s mouth. The game is already in production and has been since early 2007. Complete details after the jump:

No, the rep will not be named, but this is pretty concrete. Speaking to a Konami rep at an undisclosed distribution meeting, I was told, after a lot of nagging, that yes indeed MGS was in development for the 360. The rep stated that Metal Gear Solid will be released for the Xbox 360 between 12 to 14 months after the PS3 version hits shelves. This is not a rumor. "


It still does not seem 100%, but if this is the move Microsoft is waiting to make, Then it is a big one!

Its all talking about the same site saying it. Who the hell is xboxfamily.com and why would that be the first site that Konami reveals this info to?

I really couldnt give a damn if it went to the 360 a year later or not, but why do people believe this random site out of no where? I bet the hits the site is getting since reporting this has shot up quite a bit though.

How about this, instead of freaking out or going bonkers with rumours we just sit back an wait while playing other games till an official announcement from either Kanomi or Microsoft comes out, good idea huh???

Even if it's true, I doubt there'd be an official announcement until many months after the PS3 release. Unless of course timed exclusivity is dropped.

Why will this rumor not die?

The simple fact is Konami cannot achieve enough profit on this game to justify it's enormous expense on the PS3's current or near-future userbase. Sony could PAY for exclusivity, but another simple fact is this game wont move consoles in any substantial numbers outside of Japan, where everyone will buy it for the PS3 even if it's on the Xbox 360.

So unless someone does something VERY stupid, this game WILL come to the Xbox 360.

Maybe it will, if the PS3 version isn't a success.
