I thought motion controls made Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition a lot more fun......

Depends. It could be argued that the controls were too good and thus made the game too easy, because it was originally designed to be played with inferior controls.

I thought it was awesome with motion controls. It was my 1st every game with motion controls actually. Believe it or not, i played resi 4 wii edition before wii sports haha.

The guy sounds like a ignorant idiot. I figure from my true achievement score I'm pretty hardcore gamer and I thought games I have played on my Kinect like Dance Central, Wii Sports and Child of Eden work pretty good and far from garbage or a joke. Oh cause it aims at casual gamers people hate? I guess hardcore gamers not cut off from other life forms like myself find this a great way to play games when people are over especially when my friends bring there kids over.

I can see people not liking it but telling others it is a joke and garbage is trolling in my opinion. 10 million plus is not just hype, people are liking it and telling others and the future for Kinect can get only better as they understand ways to use it more. Hell hackers on youtube make playing games with Kinect controls work so developers will get it and make it better.

Wow, never have I seen a professional in the gaming industry speak like that.

He might be blunt, but it's true his opinion.

Fixed.

I don't think there are many people on this website who are going to disagree, just look at all the posts above me.

Oh yeah, I forgot about RE4.

I'll take that back then, meat guy isn't entirely right.

I don't believe that motion controlls are a "dead end" but I do believe that it is difficult to demonstrate the value of motion controlls when there is only 1 company that has dedicated their top development teams with adequate budgets using well known IPs and game concepts from the ground up to take advantage of motion controlls. I have little doubt that Bioware or Blizzard (or any top notch studio) could develop some amazing games to take advantage of the Wiimote, Kinect, or Move but no publisher has allowed any of these studios to work on these interfaces.

So he didn't play dance central. Kinect is the perfect input method for dancing games, it's a lot more fun than just having your hands tracked like the Wii.

The Wiimote is on the other hand is more flexible. Sports games are obvious, but also Mario Kart showed that tilt controls are a lot more fun, playing a Skyward Sword demo last year makes me believe it will profit a lot from the controls, and unobtrusive controls like in Mario Galaxy or NSMBWii add to the experience. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that you're right.

And let's not forget the pointer, which isn't motion, but goes beyond traditional controls as well and enabled excellent new gaming experiences.
