I bet after writing that he went back to work on pokemon colour no. 3256632 and in the same time frame i think its safe to say fps have added way more gameplay features and innovations than pokemon has.

i liked the original pokemon but even call of duty adds more gameplay features with their annual release than pokemon does with every new colour.

PS, i was going to tag a game to this article but i didnt know which colour from the long list to chose from.

He's absolutely right.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

You miss understand what he said

He's a hypocrite. Now we'll have a thread filled with Nintendo or JRPG fans saying 'Yeah! He's right! Everyone sucks!' while ignoring the hundreds of games that aren't shooters or excessively violent that get released every year.

His also a fool for thinking that violence is done just for the sake of random violence. Violence in games, movies and books are put in for a reason and that is to get a specific reaction. It's like how people use 'Fuck' as expression of anger, sadness, annoyance or happiness, the same reactions can come from using violence in media. He just doesn't seem like a very intelligent guy, which is understandable, Pokemon doesn't seem like the kind of game that'd take a whole lot brain power to make.

Also, I personally think that a guy that develops games which promote animal cruelty, underage gambling, bad parenting and have basically been the same game for like ten years should take a look at himself before passing judgement on people who are far more talented than he is.

I like Pokemon, I don't think I'm a fan of Junichi Musuda.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

He was talking about E3 and isn't the only one to make the same appraisal of E3. His broken English doesn't help ether but it helps to see the quotes in context

"This year, FPS war games were trend!!

A lot of splatter scenes!!

Blood spread everywhere.

Shooting a lot, killing a lot.

The game developer seems get used to

“kill” the target.

Therefore, I felt “how to kill” became a focus

of developing game.

For that reason, target become

zombie and alien...

These targets’ savage attack and

human counterattacks...

It became savage contents and

you never know.

Mmm...

It is the player who choose the game to play.

As a game creator, it is little sad!

Majority of the games look like a same game.

There were little of original games.

I felt a sense of crisis with above part."

"Tons of video games.

There a lot of point worthy of note.

Many parts to study.

It was stimulating.

Many companies are working hard together

to bring us a new technology of future.

I left E3 convention center with above thought.

Well, video game is the ultimate entertainment!!

See you!"

He is talking about the majority of the games being shown being shooters and the majority of them having realistic styles. He is not talking about CoD or any one franchise being the same each time he is talking about how the are a lot of devs making the same style of game, where the goal is to kill things in different ways and it would be hard to say he is wrong. He also never said that violence in games is just for the sake of violence he just said there was a lot of it.

I don't even like Pokemon, but I don't see how Pokemon staying the same and FPS staying the same can be considered in the same light. Pokemon is one franchise with a release every two years or so. FPS is an entire genre with multiple releases per month at its most frequent.

When you can create a Pokemon version of this, you can start calling people hypocrites.

VGChartz

I have to agree with him, although it's not a recent trend.

Hes right. There is too many FPS's this generation. There is only so many times you can throw a tennisball at a wall before it gets old and boring.

EDIT: nvm beaten to it =P

Why fix something that isn't broken and above is something that works prefectly fine. The thing is that what if someone did something different to that and have a different few to how you shoot? The most likely thing is that the game will be laughed at for being different.

war miltary shooters need to really change up and do something new and radical. DICE are on the right track but they are only running at around 25% innoviation/newness level.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
