I think your list sucks.

Here's mine, using the same rules, but in no particular order:

Super Metroid
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Super Mario World
F-Zero X
Super Mario 64
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
Secret of Mana
Alundra
Banjo-Kazooie
Super Mario Kart

SHOCKING >_>

lol you really want those points for gamerewards (+ 2 points right there!)... good topic for that ^^ (too bad you were barely born in the 90, that would have saved the embarrassment of skipping the 16bit era)

from 10 to 1
Breath of Fire II (really liked it)
Goldeneye (yay a next gen title)
Sonic&knuckles (almost forgot the non snes games :p)
Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
Super Metroid
Zelda alttp
ChronoTrigger
Secret of Mana (played it with a friend as well as alone... so gets a boost in funfactor =)
FFIV

WC2, Diablo and SC would go somewhere in the middle if I included PC (and I guess HL, though i only played it in 2000)... and there's so many other awsome games barely equaled to this day (look at the other lists).

LOL, Why do you always use my age as a problem that i cant make these type of threads???

BTW i played most of the bit games on my Sega Genesis.  :)

lol is the good reaction, i'm just teasing :-p

genesis... legend of thor, darkstalkers, shining force, sonic, virtua racing.... umh....

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Pokemon Blue
Rollercoaster Tycoon
Metal Gear Solid
Railroad Tycoon II
C&C: Red Alert
Banjo-Kazooie
Super Mario 64
Pokemon Stadium
Final Fantasy 6

I find it hard to name 10 at all since that was not my decenium

I only list '90 games which I actually I played in the '90s (so no Chrono Trigger, Link to the Past or Ocarina of Time as I was a PC only gamer in that decade).

This list differs from my top 50 list I created last year for Smeag's thread, e.g. I took out Day of the Tentacle as 3 of the brilliant LucasArts adventures are already enough for a short list like this, Monkey Island 2 for the same reason and thread rule, Dune II because AoE II was clearly the better game even though I'll always like Dune II a bit more and Civilization (my most favourite game ever) because its successor is also objectively the better game.

So instead of my real '90s top 10 this is a list of '90s PC games which I loved and stood the test of time:

10. System Shock
9. The Settlers II: Veni, Vidi, Vici
8. Baldur's Gate
7. Dungeon Keeper 2
6. Wing Commander Privateer
5. Grim Fandango
4. Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings
3. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis*
2. The Secret of Monkey Island
1. Sid Meier's (and Brian Reynolds') Civilization II

By the way:
Retrospectively *this is one of the most underrated game of the '90s in my opinion. No site ever mentions it in any top lists (sometimes even not in top graphic adventure game lists). For some reason it's a widely forgotten game unlike Grim Fandango or Monkey Island or the inferior Sam&Max, Full Throttle, Broken Sword. In my opinion Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is not only a fantastic point&click adventure game but probably the best game based on a movie franchise ever created.

Hard to tell, 90s had the best games.
1. Chrono Trigger
2. Super Mario RPG: Legend of 7 Stars
3. Earthbound
4. Super Mario World
5. Zelda: ALLTTP
6. FFIV, VI whatever you name it
7. DKC
8. Ocarina of Time
9. FF VII
10. DKC2

Edit: I forgot about the 1 game per franchise, then I leave you with my TOP 7

But to be honest, only the top 5 are solid, the rest could be placed in no particular order.

I LOVE YOUR LIST! Here is mine

  1. Mario Kart 64
  2. Chrono Trigger
  3. Super Mario RPG
  4. Pokemon Blue/Red
  5. Kirby's Dream Course
  6. Donkey Kong Country
  7. Mario Party 2
  8. Super Mario 64
  9. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
  10. Starfox 64

I have only played a bit of Earthbound, and I just started Final Fantasy VI, but I love it so far. Put them both on my phone.

Oh, that explains it all. When you read my posts, then you actually see yourself in a mirror.

I don't have a mirror.
