I assume you mean PS3 instead of 360. 

Looking through the post, he never actually says the word 'take'. The word 'take' is only in the title. He says the PS3 is contender 'for' 2nd place, but he never actually says a contender to 'take' 2nd place.

It must be a case where the title doesn't exactly match the actual words from the article.

I think the OP/thread is trying to imply that the "PS3" is a strong contender to take 2nd place away from the 360.

As in "PS3 10% ahead of 360 this year worldwide, (PS3 is a) strong contender to take second place"

It's kowenicki after all! The analysist does not share the same thoughts towards the 360 as he does, therefore he's deemed an "idiot". Kowenicki's post are always good for a laugh, watching him get himself all worked up over nothing is very amusing.  He was angered by the analylsts statement so much so that he decided to not only call him an idiot, but state that he "needs English lessons", which is a sure fire way to know that someone has gotten to you.

OT: The Ps3 still has room for some big pricecuts, the holiday season will be very interesting.

I like to consider myself a realist. $199 PS3, AGENT, FFv13, etc. 2012 going to be MASSIVE. 18million consoles sold MINUMUM.

it has a good chance, if there is a budget priced ps3 model then it could take 1st mabey, but then again shit loads of parents will rush out to buy a wii for thier children its only £114 on amazon

Naw, there are still millions of gamers (specificall 360-only) that have yet to get a PS3.
