It's actually exactly the same game, you just start out with different dogs and unlock the others.

1. Not all the games were bundled, and if, not in all regions so it's just nonsense to say that this is the reason they sold so much. 2. A lot PS/xbox games were bundled too so why aren't they that high? So your arguments just failed.

Take the nintendo out of the equation and sales and profits would be dismal for 2007, Wii and DS drove the industry in 2007 |
Exactly. Sales have been atrocious. I remeber analysts predicting 360 sales as being sustained at 400,000 a month throughout 2006! This hasn't even happened this year. And that's saying nothing of the failure in expectations of the PS3. This says nothing of their multi-billion dollar losses. Still this is only hardware.
More importantly, of those that haven't been swallowed by the consolidadtion that indicates a stagnating industry, virtually every 3rd party has posted sobering losses. Monstrous losses.
My point is, without Nintendo, any external observer would look at the industry and see it as rotting from the inside out. The funny thing about the situation, is that because the industry continues to ignore Nintendo wherever it can, one genuinely could subtract Nintendo's numbers and be fairly confident of their accuracy. Moreover, because in many ways a Nintendo sale does NOT subtract from a PS3/360 sales as has been the case in the past, their failures are very much their own fault and isolated. Nintendo is single handedly keeping the overall industry solvent and tenable. With Nvidia being awarded company of the year, I'd say Nintendo definitely isn't getting the recognition it deserves.
Formerly Bugmenot, (mostly) I'm now reformed and adopting a more concrete persona upon ioi's request.
I'm not new here and had 147 posts to my (our) name - not that anyone noticed.

Tetris is about the only game that still holds up (sorry Mario fans), and it's creator did not see any of the profits thanks to the Soviets attitude towards intellectual property. And other sources (i.e. NPD) tend not to include pack-ins for obvious reasons. The list is very misleading regarding the popularity of certain titles, although it wouldn't make much of a difference other than you would see a GTA or two in there. |
I see SMB3 on that list so you are wrong :D
I actualy played that game for 6 hours with my friends today, we had to do something meanwhile our hangover disapered.
Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!
why shouldn't Nintendo be praised, top 10 games sold is something to be proud of and all gamers should too. Look at how many of those games have been sold, doesn't it show that games are popular and well known. Also Nintendo are the ones that saved this game industry with nes and may have saved it with there handhelds and wii. Games are being part of normal lives, I see kids playing ds all over, adults buying wii for themselves. Nintendo is incorporating games into the normal person's life.
I think its great almost everyone knows who mario is. or these are just fanboys that hate Nintendo and not see what they have done for games
ya Nintendo should be very proud the are doing very well evn though some of those are pack-in games

Yes its annoying when this site has 5 games added to one making it look like nintendo has the best software sales, were in fact its a lie. |
The Sims is in 11th, but has many expasions, I haven't seen you complaining about that.
And......... do some reaserch, look also for the biggest selling franchises of games ever.
Do you think that people buy the always 2 versions of the game??
Pokemon Pearl/Diamond are the same journey, the difference is only in the monsters you can get.
If you vanish a version "X", does it mean that the potential buyers of that version would not buy the game?
They would buy the other version.
The same goes to Nintendgs.
I never understood what so great about The Sims. I really did try to get into them but found them boring. Notice most of this seem to be very old (back when it was nothing but the Big N )or recent. I don't know if this is a good sign or not.
