ThePS3News said: I personally never owned nor do i plan on getting a 360/xbox. I have nothing against the Xbox brand it just seems like the community and there style of games dont match what i normally like to play.
Anyways i dont hate the 360, I just dont like the company behind it. That being Microsoft.
As far as your question goes, Most PS3 fans like myself dont hate the 360. We just prefer to stay loyal to the brand we are use to. :) |
Yes I think Xbox 360 Fans could perfectly live with your attitude, but when you Playstation Fanboys really have no interest at Xbox 360 than why you bash it? Why you mention the Xbox 360 all the time and name her games like Halo, Alan Wake, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia or Fable as crap? If I really don't care about something I don't mention it .
The truth is that Playstation Fans would love to play games like Lost Odyssey, Alan Wake, Gears of War, Fable or Halo plus the xbox 360 gets all the time superior versions of the best multi Games, but PS3 Fanboys can't play this xbox exclusive games or this multi games in the best quality so they develop jealousy and their response is to hate the Xbox 360 all the time.

Why don't you ask the individuals who do so instead of asking "the Playstation Fanboys" huh?
This use of generalizations is just infuriating and makes the forum a shittier place, thank you.

I think using the term "fanboy" should be enough to indicate that someone is talking about a specific segment of the ps3 community. Being a fanboy is not a good thing. Some people on here proudly declare themselves to be "playstation fanboys", if that is what you are then you are asking to be lumped into a negative category of gamers. Its okay to be fan but don't call yourself a fanboy unless you want the stigma that goes with it.

Well, first off, I was ranting there, because ThePs3News made a very reasonable post, which clearly shows he is not what is considered to be a "fanboy" and Grandia replied to him with "you Playstation Fanboys, you do X,Y and Z", which is absolutely not what ThePs3News did, so I told him to bring it to people who actually do that and to stop generalizing.
Secondary, I think the term "fanboy" is way overused and often applied in very different situations. A lot of people actually seem to use the words "fan" and "fanboy" as synonyms (look at the threadtitle for example). To me "fanboy" means people who are very much into sth., so much that they may annoy other people with it - personally I don't have anything against these people, I let them be, because I couldn't care less.
Additionally to me there are the "hateboys" , the people who go out of their way to try to bash things (my observations is, that these people don't have to be "fans" of anything honestly, so I think to group them with "fanboys" is wrong, although ofc a lot of "hateboys" do have a prefered system). They are the pests of the internet as they try to make other people feel as miserable as they probably do feel themselves.
And to reply to your former post: I see, you ment the annoying bunch - I often enough see people being criticised (classified as "fanboys" for)for just being excited/happy though, which is sth I'm pretty disgusted by.
