I have Valkyria chronicles and it's an excellent game. I'd like to find Fire emblem-esque tactical RPGs playable on PS3, PSN.

I need your help !

This pretty much though I enjoy Disgaea's and don't find them to be too much of a grind probably because there are ways to go about it rather quickly with XP bonuses and I don't mind grinding up a new character class.  There's also Record of Agarest War but that's far more of a grind and really just an ok game and since you mention PSN there is Vandal Hearts which is better than Agarest War but still just alright.  

This is a bit weird and maybe not what you're looking for with "tactical RPG" but I'd recommend trying out Resonance of Fate.  It has a tactical feel to it though it isn't based on the usual grid.  It's kind of like a fast paced Valkyria Chronicles in that cover and positioning still matters, but playfields are smaller and there's a lot more movement.

tactical rpg and strategy games are booming on PC on the digital distribution platform, get yourself a laptop with a gpu or a desktop with gpu and some gaming performance boosting software like g boost and you will find lots of tactical and strategy games.

But you know whats coming soon with PS3 as lead platform (by the looks of it since thats all thats been shown) is Deus Ex 3, its a prequel so no need the play the last ones (tho first one is great) its a FPSRPG but if they go back to the first one alot there is alot of tactical elements in deus ex.

Don't worry, I have a middle end computer, I can run The Witcher 2 on high settings (bar ubersampling, but nobody can ^^). I was asking here about PS3 TRPG beause the community is quite helping and has a lot of keen persons on such specific subject. I wouldn't have a ps3 in the first place if I wasn't reading this forum, which I enjoy totally.

I tend to disagree your comments about the tactical RPG genre on PC. I think the PC has nice tactical RPG (Frozen Synapse, Grotesque tactics to quote a few), but imho, the flagship titles are on console (Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Disagea). Frozen Synapse alone on console would be an absolute blast.

Oh, and I tried Deus Ex the first one but I didn't liked it. Might get another shot...  :steam sales backlog:

I have a suggestion - it's not exactly a tactical RPG but go with me here....

Persona 4 (Yes, it's a PS2 game, but I played it on my UK PS3 - you just need the original 60GB model).

It's got RPG elements, the battle mechanics have strategy to them (similar to the rock paper scissors found in Valkyria Chronicles)... and... it's got dating sim elements.

The reason I recommend this is because after I finished Valkyria Chronicles and was looking for another SRPG to play on PS3 I came across Persona 4 and loved it.

Disgaea is all good, but you should try record of Agarest War Zero. I haven't played it but it looks cool.

I love Disgaea though I play D2 in my PSP so it's very convenient.

Outside the famous... I'm playing Cross Edge now and after understand the battle mechanisms I'm enjoying it... but it not GREAT, just GOOD or MEH.

I wouldn't recommend to anyone ... but I'm really enjoyed playing it.

Actually anyone played it already?
