Finishing a Bachelors of Computer Engineering with Honours in a few months. Probably going to go on to start a PhD next year. Will probably mean I'll be at Uni for 7+ years, so yeah going to be a student forever.

Well, this is a bit embarrasing. It seems everybody is going to good schools, and working to get an advanced degree in science or something like that.

I just finished my first year at the College of Southern Nevada :P

I started as a nursing student, but I decided to change my major to accounting.

I went to the university of Amsterdam and took artificial intelligence about 18 years ago. It was pretty much a joke back then as it probably still is. But I learned some decent programming skills and actually ended up using the path finding courses while working on gps navigation systems.

They hoped the sum would be greater then the parts but it never came together. It consisted of separate courses of mathematics, logic, psychology, language and informatics. The cognitive science part, neural networks and natural language parsing were the most interesting. Genetic algorithms were cool too and playing tron networked on a bunch of apple macintosh computers.
Good old times with the usenet oracle, irc chat rooms and a text only imdb.

Physics and Renewable Energy, currently doing honours in renewable, then I'll either be doing a PhD or getting a job

I took mechanical engineering, then medicine and I settled for finance.... then the financial crisis hit and I'm just managing my wealth now (well not yet on that last part, it's a work in progress).

Wow! I remember most my threads, including this one.

Since my last post I have taken a hodgepodge of classes. Now I am taking some masters classes in legal studies.

I know that feeling! I still remember some of the junk I posted back on the Gamespot website in mid 2009.

Started working towards a B.S. in electrical engineering last year. Thinking of sticking with it though I do sometimes wonder if it would be a wise personal decision pursue something in games, considering I'm at a great school for it.

St. Joseph's University, went for International Relations, taking International Relations, and quite enjoying it

University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, Master of International Development, Major in NGOs and Civil Society.

My only regret is that i did not transition to grad school immediately. Mid 2012 through all of 2013 was basically a waste (which is not to say i didn't do some things and make some memories in the meantime, at least in late 2012. 2013 was a pretty bad year for me across the board, except for the part where i got accepted to grad school to start this past January)

I can certainly see the opportunities out there for me, i just need to keep the momentum up this time to make them a reality. More focused on career than school at the moment, trying to get an Assistant position with the professor i'm interning under, as i'll get a lot of valuable experience with her over two semesters. Also gets me out of this gas station job, which has been good to me (treats me better than the bullshit i went through early 2013), but is starting to wear on me.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
