great game : Counter-strike

bad company : Valve for putting in-game ads.  thanks for ruining your own great game!

crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.

It's not that Halo2 is a bad game and Halo1 wasnt. It's just games like FarCry came out between Halo1 and 2. Farcry I feel was the same type of game, and I think the depth, levels, detail, scale, vehicles, weapons... was just done so much better. The least they could have done was use a good story tho.

Over time, games should get better. If they stay the same (especially when there is a 4 year gap inbetween) I am not impressed.

You say Dungeon Siege is simple compared to D2.

First of all, there are no 'classes' in Dungeon Siege. What is nice about that is. You can start doing anything you want... and end doing ANYTHING you want.

If you start as a necromancer in D2... I bet you a MILLION BILLION GAZILLION dollars... You will still be a necromancer when you beat the game. (unless you cheat, or create a new character)

In Dungeon Siege, I typically start out more warrior inclined, and shift my focus to Magic later on through the game.

I rember playing Dungeon Siege multiplayer. I had a lvl 60 battlemage at the time, and my buddy had some lvl 55 warrior. We got lost in one of the forests. (no shit, we couldnt seem to rember how we got in there... and this forest was HUGE. A straight line walk across the forest would take 10 minutes... To colmb the entire forest would take hours. (that is what we ended up doing)

Anyways, I found a little tower thingie and was like... hmm... what might this be? (this is about a 5 minute walk from where you start the game) Find a elevator. It's like a 3 minute ride down... *yawn* Get to the bottom. Ok. WTF. Why am I in HELL?!?! Me and my buddy spent a few more HOURS roaming around in that area looking around. There are so many secret areas in Dungeon Siege 1... It's not even funny. I never got into Dungeon Siege2, becuase I loved the multiplayer (with friends, not really online with anyone)

But seriously. How many HOURS did you spend exploreing areas... that mean nothing to the game other than being there? In Dungeon Siege1, I would say I spent over 20 hours exploring 'secret' areas... I beat Diablo2 in about 20 hours. Due to the random generated levels, there really are no 'secret' areas, that just... amaze you. (and you can find some AMAZING equipment in those areas too)

Anyone ever hear of the 'chicken gun' ? You have to kill like 10-20 chickens that take about 15-30 minutes each. The reward is the 'chicken gun'. What does it do? It's a chain gun that shoots chickens. :D (this is NOT a cheat)

I didnt care for Dungeon Siege2 as much as the first. (then agian it might just be because I got oblivion a few weeks later, as well as a few other AAA games... That and Playing Dungeon Seige just dont feel right without my buddy hacking stuff up and me casting uber spells... Idunno... Not being able to summon dragons, and stuff... and actually haveing trouble killing stuff. It turned me off from the game, becuase I just rembred how much fun it was to play Dungon Siege... Not how much of a bitch it was to get to lvl 82.
