Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Skyward Sword to feature Sheikahs?

Tagged games:

Just saw this and was surprised I never noticed it when I first saw the trailer originally.  I was just wondering if you noticed it:

In the E3 trailer of Zelda SS, the Eye of the Sheikah makes a very brief appearance at about 1:26

Here is a still of the split second it appears.

Zelda Informer points out that the emblem is a bit different to the Eye Of The Sheikah as it appears in Ocarina Of Time as it's more angular but the site believes it is a modified version.

Well, with this being a prequel to Ocarina, it would make sense if the Sheikah make an appearance. Aonuma said those who had played through Ocarina recently would pick up on a number of links between the two games when playing Skyward Sword, so some form of Sheikah appearance would make sense.

It would be interesting to see more Sheikah then just Impa and Sheik (whom Zelda turns into of course). I have a feeling Skyward Sword is going to be epic even for a Zelda game.

i havent beaten ocarina yet so i cant get 2 excited but it looks interesting.

Maybe we will learn more about Sheikcahs and why there weren't much in OOT.

My intuition tells me that Nintendo simply likes to reuse some symbols. There may be an allusion to sheikahs in the story and there may even be some as important characters... but I wouldn't be surprised if there were none at all.

Pretty much this. This is meaningless, but at the same time not necessarily without meaning
