Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox Live is Built into Windows 8 Computers

http://360informer.com/2011/07/xbox-live-is-built-into-windows-8-computer/

This picture above (Picture In URL) may seem like a joke to some already. Why would the Xbox Live dashboard be visible through a computer, obviously someone is trying to start a viral rumor to send the Xbox gaming community for a spin. But in plain simple words I can tell you: It’s not. Microsoft’s vice president of global marketing Mike Delman confirmed just recently that Xbox Live will be built into all Windows 8 computers:

“Live has been successful on the Windows Phone. Live will be built into the PC. It will be the service where you get your entertainment. We were talking about it — you will not just see consoles and handhelds at this show next year, this show’s going to morph into other devices.”

With Xbox Live being confirmed as a PC built-in, gamers will be able to utilize  Downloads, Netflix, Zune and in the future: YouTube, Live T.V. and Bing all through their Windows 8 computer.

But this is just the beginning, expect Xbox gaming to be usable on Windows computers in the near future if it does not become confirmed for Windows 8 now. Microsoft will be changing the PC gaming world forever with this new technological advancement. If this idea is continuously developed like it should be, PC gaming will soon utilize Kinect and much, much more.

Haha, doesn't sound too enticing, but yes, you can through the XBL Dashboard on your computer.

I know a glitch to do that on XP. You go to the address bar and type in the url for YouTube and press enter. Voila!!! LOL

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

just easier to do something for PC game,or DLC

Assuming this is real, the challenge is surely going to be cost/justification across platforms, no?

I mean, no way am I paying a dime to access anything through my PC other than my ISP costs. So that means I'd expect Live to be free on PC, certainly no way would I want it to hinder all the access I already have via OS independant browsers.

But as a 360 owner I'd be pretty pissed to see PC gamers getting Live free.

I'm really not clear on how this would work given the existing live model on 360 and the clear failure of trying to charge for Live on PC already.

I guess I'll wait for further details.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
