There seem to be mixed opinions regarding some of the new parts of the site. In an attempt to quickly and efficiently figure out what to keep and what to change, here are some simple yes / no points I'd like people to answer

1) Do you like the horizontal main menu? Don't really use it because I did't realise there was a sub-menu

2) Would you prefer the sub-menus to be activated on hover? Yes, at least then I would have known it's there. Just be sure to precache the imgs

3) Do you like the new rich text editor? If no, then is it the idea of a rich text editor in general or this particular implementation? No, this stuff only works right on IE, quote box deletion and stuff just does not work on firefox (and apparently safari too, going by the previous comments)

4) Do you like the idea of a news system where only the most popular stories are shown on the front page? I never see the news because I never scroll down.  Maybe if you got rid of the control panel on the front page (but keep it on the forum pages)

5) Do you like popularity to be measured by "votes" or simply by page impressions? No prefs, but blog style (ordered by recentness) might be nice.  Maybe allow mods to make one or two topics sticky for a day or something

6) Do you like the rich text for news stories (embed videos, flash files, edit layout and colours) or just simple text news stories? Just text and pix. keep it simple.

Simple answers to each so we can effectively "vote" and I can make some changes. Any other comments / suggestions also welcome in here

And, I know it's not related to these questions, but can you please bring back the console filter in the monthly charts? Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with sugar on top?:)
