Forums - PC Discussion - PS3 controller on PC Issues

I'm trying to hook up my DS3 to my PC to play Assassin's Creed, but I can't get it to work.

First time I hook it in, the PC recognizes it no problem (you can't use buttons, though).  I then go to use MotionInJoy, a 3rd party driver, and it says it successfully installs the driver, but when I go to the profile screen to configure the controller, it says it can't find any controllers?  My DS3 has all 4 LEDs blinking slowly as if it can't pair the entire time.  I'm very confused.  I've followed MotionInJoy's instructions to the letter, reinstalled the drivers multiple times, and it just won't work.

Additionally, if I take the controller out and then plug it back in, the PC won't recognize it.  I have to move it to a new USB jack where the drivers haven't been installed.

I'm really confused.  Any help would be appreciated.

Not having any issues with mine at the moment, but this is what i do to start it up.

1. Open the motion in joy program
2. plug the control in
3. go to driver manager and select "Load driver"
4. go to profiles and select a mode ( i usually select xbox 360 controller emulator)
5. click "Enable"

This works for me...

I dont have assassins creed on pc but this worked for street fighter and also my DS emulator, but if it picks up on one game it should pick up on all games that support xbox 360 controllers.

If I do the same thing, Windows doesn't pick it up, but it shows up in the driver manager as already having the driver loaded. So then I go to profile, select X360 emulator, click enable, and I get nothing. Vibration test doesn't work, and nothing shows up in the game controller panel.

The LEDs on the controller just flash quickly.
