Forums - Sony Discussion - Rumor: the NEW director of the Uncharted Movie Will Be.........

Something I have never understood (I don't understand sheep mentality) is how the entire internet, or at least a HUGE legion of people jumped on the Nathan Fillion bandwagon.

Nate Drake looks like a generic, racially ambiguous catalog model. Nathan Fillion has a unique look to him, and I can only see him as an older, fatter, whiter Drake at best.

Maybe if he lost some weight, hit the Gym REALLY hard, got a tan and a haircut from SuperCuts I could understand. But even then, I wouldn't understand the obsession.

I have played both Uncharted games, and I just don't get it. Can someone please explain how this started?

now would be a good time to start Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I've heard nothing about the director and never saw Limitless so I don't know what to think

But it can't be any worse than what the original plan was, it was just awful and nothing like the Uncharted games at all which is a crime to the millions of fans around the world the franchise has.

Good.

I think Uncharted would translate very well into an action movie, the game itself has the right blend of humour, mystery and action.

I don't think the movie should follow the story of the game completely, it just seems cheesy and awkward when they do that, they need to mix it up a little bit.

Also...I hope the let Nathan Fillion play Nathan Drake, he is perfect for the part.

tbh I personally hope it's NOT Fillion. to me he is just too old to be Drake

but this man for example would be perfect

I don't know really, Fillion looks just like him, the resemblance is uncanny.

I don't think he is too old either, just look at the Uncharted 3 trailers, it looks like drake is hitting his 40's, I have always thought of Drake as more of a "middle aged" guy.

Sorry, I'm not that familiar with actors, who's the guy in the picture?

Bradley Cooper of Hangover fame :D he was also in A-Team and Limitless

Fuk. Dat. Shiiii. I have an alternative (drum roll)

I nominate Uwe Boll. Why? Because lets be honest here, this movie will suck major amounts of asshole juice no matter what. And I rather have someone who is a professional at ruining video game movies 'do his thang' than have someone who is a professional at making good movies burn to the ground...

Oh yeah! =O

I thought I recognised him.

I still don't think he looks like Drake enough though. If he was in Limitless then he has worked with that director recently, meaning he would be a likely pick for Nathan Drake. I reckon he could do a great job.
