So, I have Twilight Princess. And I have no will to play it at all. The game start is boring as hell and made Sonic Unleashed's tutorial look as exciting as F-Zero GX on hardest. Then I go to this wolf part, in which Link plays exactly the same, except that now I can dig holes. Yay. Thn comes th first dungeon, that, surprise surprise, is themed after florest, not unlike EVERY ZELDA SINCE OOT. Boring as help. "But now you have to find stupid monkeys!" wut, who da hell whants to help monkeys? I rather kill some them, or a dragon or something. Now çlast weekend I finished the dungeon. The game has been sleeping in my Weii not U since then.Skyward Sword has just fallen my hype meter after playing it as well, since I expect it to be the same. And before you ask, I have already played and finished several Zeldas before, including Ocarina of Time, Phantom Hourglass and Minish Cap.

So, I'm I the only who is hating on this game and wants to blow those effing villagers?

Above: still the best game of the year.

Haven't played it since 06 so my memory's a bit hazy, but I do remember it starting a little slow, and it begins to pick up as you go. It was pretty thrilling to gallop on horseback across Hyrule. The combat is still fun despite the somewhat simplistic controls, and some of the dungeons are really interesting. Never really liked the wolf parts though. I'd give the game about a 7.5/10. Solid game with some deep and rich gameplay, but a bit on the dull side by Zelda standards.

The first dungeon in Majora's Mask was a swamp. The first dungeon in Wind Waker was a volcano.

The first dungeon in The Wind Waker was a fortress, but I guess you don't count it because it can't be finished due to story purposes, making it the fourth dungeon for you.

I was going to allow that, but the point is that it's not a forest.

It's really a game that clicks in the second phase, though it is quite same-y in the first

I agree that it drags in the beginning and there's no excuse for that, but it is worth soldiering through that to get to experience Midna's Lament, Stallord, Yeta and Yeto, and the City in the Sky

But the first part of the game where you actually have to use your sword against enemies is a forest. And Majora's Mask features a swamp/forest dungeon, the region it's placed in is even called Dark Forest or something like that.

It is not a "dungeon [...] themed after a forest".

And a swamp and a forest are not identical just because both have trees. Woodfall Temple is in the Deku Swamp, and it's swamp themed.

It was called Woodfall in the USA, or are you referring to sub-region?

No worries, I am just fooling around a little bit.

I bet you don't even think the OP's keyboard is broken!

It's by the book Zelda and the most refined... which means you don't like Zelda anymore, put it away/sell it and move on to other franchises.

Yeah, the game is not as exciting as Majora's Mask or Ocarina of Time, but it's still good. Well, at least for me, maybe because I played at launch with all that hype.
