Also, the whole "Satan controls the record industry with a Satanic Illuminati" was basically created by the liar and con-man John Todd, that I see you referenced up there. His friendship with Jack Chick was the only thing that kept him going, as he was outed as a total fraud (and child molester) by a ton of his fellow Christian parishioners.

This blog has a lot of good info on why this guy is not trustworthy

It's funny how many who have exposed the Illuminati or secrets of the Government just so happen to be killed or thrown into prison such as Fritz Springmeier, Kent Hovind and Bill Cooper.

I don't believe for a second John Todd molested a child. It's such an obvious horrible crime to frame someone with to discredit him. A little too obvious.

The contradictions on this same posts are over 9000. Vegeta would be proud

Wow, lots of info. Keep it up man. I find it weird that many artist, even if joking or in their songs, admit to selling their souls or having contact with demons or things. If it was one or two, well never mind but so many artist, mostly some of the most famous artist of today and from years ago. I'm still on the fence about all of this, it's a lot of info to take it, but I really appreciate you spreading word. I will watch all this videos little by little and make my own decision as to what to believe. Keep it up, I look forward to more info/threads.

And for pete's sake, if you think he's trolling or don't give a crap about all of this, don't come into the thread.

So if you think that what he posts is sligthly offensive to the type of music that you enjoy the most by grouping all of it in a single misguided concept, is it okay to post then? Plus, he also failed to address the issue about Christian Black Metal, since Black Metal is probably one of the most "aggressive" rock styles currently. Is it still the work of satan, or is it okay because it's christian? If so, then there are exceptions. If there are exceptions, then how can you prove the rest to be true when it is at best conjectures and quotations that can be interpreted any way that you want?

I just think it's an equally conveniant cover that these people can do all sorts of heinous crimes (John Todd was in trouble for molesting kids far before he started ranting about Satanists, this was when he was supposedly part of it so why would they try to fabriate it when he was a high ranking guy?) and it gets covered up with "the Illuminati wants him in prison". While people like Todd or Springmeier  omplain that they are "guilty until proven innocent" all it does if give their fans "proof" that a conspiracy is afoot, and people buy more books. It's like when a hip hop artist goes to jail, it immediately gives them street cred, and sell more albums.

I think Satan found that wacky pastors of small insane churches are much more effective than rock 'n' roll to drive people to perdition... For example, since rock 'n' roll exists, all the biggest mass suicides have been ordered by pastors and other religious chiefs, none by rockstars.

I will go under the assumption that his post offended you, although I don't see how it did and he has the right to post whatever he feels like expressing/sharing, unless it violates some rule of conduct or whatever for the forums, I don't know, I don't post often enough to know that.

Also, it very well could be that christian metal could also be part of this. I don't think something being christian justifies it as pure or makes it an exception for anything. Honestly, I don't know enough to argue your points, you drive a good point as well. I can only assume that it's more the artist/producers who make the music rather than an entire genre of music.

Eh.

No reason to get nutty with the satanism/occult/ect of various bands to try to decry the type of music as being evil. As a Christian, it should be pretty apparent if the music is righteous or not. That should be the true barometer of music (for a Christian, any way)....Not on the style or anything else.

Somehow, I get this picture that OoSnap is one of those guys that also believes that the only kind of good music is the kind sung in church without any instruments at all, and you must read the KJV Bible as it is the only 'pure' version.

For the record, I don't listen much if any of the aforementioned music anymore. Gave it up and am very happy listening to more uplifting Christian fare. It makes a major difference in your mood when the lyrics are always meant to encourage, strengthen and help as opposed to lyrics that aren't as beneficial to the life and lifestyle. But that's me - your free to listen to what you like, but understand that music is a big influence in life like many other things.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Popular musicians form the 70s and 80s were usually soo high on drug and alchool I won't be suprised if they said to be possessed by giant cock shaped demons. About guys like Gaga and M.Manson they just use the satanic excuse to sound trasgressive and to add some public interest to their boring lifes.

What about the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Did they sell their souls or do they just kick ass!
