So VGChartz, what are your thoughts? Will there be some kind of Weapon of Mass Destruction detonated on a nation/people group within this decade? There are certainly more signs of the possibility coming up with more nations acquiring nuclear capabilities.

I pray and hope this does not happen, but my thought is that likely at some point soon there will be a country with nuclear capabilities that will arm a terrorist group with a nuclear weapon, whom will then detonate it within a populated area. Could be a terrorist group detonating it in Israel, somewhere in europe, a major US city, among a number of places.  This in turn would ignite a world war/ huge world crisis that rocks economies and plunges the world into a new era.

VGChartz members, what are your thoughts? Expound on why you think the way you do on this, please.

I could see it happen, some rogue states like North Korea certainly have less to lose if they use them diplomatically and ethnically and they are a very powerful weapon on the battlefield

I think it's highly unlikely, but you never know how crazy North Korea or Iran goes.
I just hope for the people that we never have to use Nuclear weapons again.

Exactly. I don't want people to think Im fear mongering here, but its a reality that everyone has to face. The possibility IMO seems to be getting more and more. I could see if North Korea gets to a point where it is desperate enough it could happen. I think though it seems more likely that a country like them would give it to a terrorist group to use. In that case noone would be able to retaliate with a nuke on any particular country if they did not know who supplied the Terrorist group with the nuke , whereas if a particular country used the nuke themselves on a people group then that country and its allies would know who to retaliate with.

I sure hope so. I really want to live on the moon.

The only two country's i can see going as far as using nuclear tech for war puropse's is North Korea and Iran.

And as for your question. No it will more than likely not happen. Atleast not in this decade.
