Fortunatly they tested it on a shitty rip-off game noone will care about after few months so no permanent damage was done to real entries in RE series.

Exactly... they probably just tried this to see if they can sell more new copies. they failed, but the title was soooo small caliber anyways, it wont  matter in the longrun

It's great they probably won't ever do that again but it's amazing that they're still trying to bullshit people into believing they did it to stop used game sales.

I'm still buying the game when it's dirt cheap... however please don't do this again, companies (I even hated Ridge Racer 3D's one-save-slot setup; I almost lost my progress several times when some friends wanted to try the game and didn't bother to read the warning when they selected "new game")
