Viva pinata?? #69 (WTF is it even on the list??), #23 Plants vs Zombies (Fun indy game) but its no better than infamous 2 or God of War 3.

Also a lot of good games were not even mentioned. MGS4, Gran Tursimo 5, Tekken 6, Mortal Kombat, FF-Crisis Core, Kingdom hearts-BBS, Saints row 2, Ratchet & clank: CIT, Heavenly sword, and many more i cant think of at this moment.


 I just realized crisis core wasn't on the list....thats just as much a crime as no MGS4! Crisis Core was the only good Final Fantasy game we got this gen that wasn't a remake.

This is the worst list ever. The fact that Left 4 Dead 2 is even on this list is hilarious. It's a glorified expansion. It doesn't even attempt to tell a story.

do people here get they were only doing one game per franchise or is everyone just ball busting about the omission of sequels/prequels?

also, solid list glad wii sports resort was in the middle, and epic yarn and brawl

Why is anyone taking this list seriously? Since last time I check IGN's opinion didn't= fact. If the list was left  down to Xen the top ten would be games about pubescent, loli girls using 15 ft swords fighting off a horde of monsters from the makai world. These games usually have a average rating of 60%, what I'm trying to say is that opinions suck and lets agree to disagree.

There are plenty of ps3 games you crazy kids. Just mgs4 was overhyped initially due to being the first "big" ps3 exclusive. AND YES IT WAS

Plants VS Zombies is 10 times as fun as MGS.

Only Super Mario Galaxy 2, Assassin's Creed 2, and Uncharted 2 are really top 10 "modern" games (although I am sure they mean recent or contemporary, since modern means all games since the modern era spans back 550 years) . Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock as the top games? Seriously? These sorts of crap articles are the reason why I haven't bothered with IGN in years.

I think it's completely unacceptable that only one game from a series was included; Metal Gear Solid 4, Super Mario Galaxy 1, Mario Kart Wii and Uncharted 1 deserve a spot on the list, to name only a few.

Bioshock's my personal favorite game this gen, so the fact that it received #2 is something, and at least every game in the top 20 is great... minus Pac-Man CEDX (good game, just shouldn't be that high) and Fallout 3, the single most overrated game this gen, IMHO.
