Queen of Poop, more like.

I thought that was Jamie Lee Curtis....Lady Gaga will never be in Activia commercials. She can just get over herself.

Good point. The closest Lady Gaga will ever come to being Jamie Lee Curtis is when she's killed by a lunatic in a William Shatner mask (hopefully).

We should ask Squilliam.

It really doesn't matter how much you HATE her, or how much you DISLIKE her, or how much you disagree with her or me saying she's had a cultural impact as big as that as MJ's, it doesn't matter what YOU think, or what YOU think is right..

fact of the matter is, she is the biggest person on earth in terms of "celebrity", the most famous being on the planet, and the biggest pop star on earth, and has been lady gaga for 3 years, and hasn't stopped..

too bad for you, she wont be going anywhere.. she's only going to get bigger and bigger.. rumor has it she'll be starting stadium tours next year

and no I didn't say she started "DANCE MUSIC", I said she brought techno/dance pop mainstream in the U.S, something not even madonna could do in the U.S when she released confessions on a dance floor, gaga is the reason you hear what you hear on radio today period, and I'm not saying that's a bad or good thing, but it's the industry that decided to make pop constant club hit after hit, if you even care to listen to her new album, not one of her songs are club bangers..

Ha, funny how you say what everyone else thinks doesn't matter, yet you believe that you yourself and everything that validates what you say is true and right.

Actually, the biggest celebrity for the past three years has been Oprah, not Lady Gaga. You were so keen on using Forbes, so I recommend you going back and check it out. Lady Gaga has probably been the most proeminent music celebrity in the past couple of years, but it's only limited to that sphere.

Stadium tours? U2 started doing Stadium tours in their second year. Guns and Roses started doing Stadium tours on their second album. Stadium tours shouldn't be a measure of success, as a lot of bands and singers don't like to do or don't care to do stadium tours.

Oh believe me, i've listened to every song on her most recent album (my GF is a major Gaga fan, and even she agrees that she's losing her initial sparkle) and it doesn't have half the quality of the Fame Monster. Judas is a quick cash in, Edge of Glory has nothing relevant to distinguish it from the grand majority of pop songs, Bad Kids and Marry the Night are complete jokes. The only good songs in the album are Born This Way, Scheize, Electric Chapel and Americano, and that's pushing it.

And since you're also so keen on dissing everyone's opinion, go read what the actual music critics say of her work and the way that she's stagnating. Just because everyone's imitating her doesn't mean that she somehow reformulated pop music or that she's the current pinacle of music. Trends are easy to set on music and just as easily dissapear. To stay relevant for 5, 10, 15 years now that's the challenge and that's what distinguishes the good musicians from the all time greats.

no one is dissing anyone's opinion, I'm not sharing my opinion either, I'm just quoting both the article and the media that have been on her since she decided to become a pop star.. or since she broke through in pop..

I've read what critics have said, in fact her album is very highly reviewed on meta for a pop album.. you don't get that high with a pop album nowadays.. She did develop a trend with "extravegant" fashion, and "dance/techno pop in america", and she has only been very revelant for 3 years, but not many singers get to a stadium tour, no one in pop is doing a stadium tour.. no one.. if she ends up doing stadium tours, and selling them out, that would be a huge feat for her. She's very talented, and has had a significant impact on the music industry, and made red one a name, just how he made her a name.. everyone is running towards red one  or dr luke to get hits.. while gaga is co producing everything she does, and working with young producers and making a name out of them.. you may not like her new record, and may think it's stale, but many people think oppositely..

Is highly reviewed? It's sitting at 71, which is the same that Fame had. She never had any high meta album, as Fame Monster only got to 77

You're right in saying that nowadays no one in pop is doing stadium tours. That's because pop isn't as relevant as it used to be. Plus, Lady Gaga's music tendencies, especially with Born This Way, is much more Eurodance than pop or techno pop. She didn't develop the extravagant fashion, she just brought it back from the late 80's/early 90's, when it wasn't as popular as it is today.

I don't disagree in that she's talented, probably she's one of the most talented on her field. It's just that she has yet to show that she can reinvent herself and go beyond what she currently does. Every great musician, band or group has been able to continue their success even on different music fields and by adapting their music style to the times. Lady Gaga has only been around for 3 years, so her real test will be when her trend starts to decline and she's forced to adapt or lose relevance.

She didn't develop the extravagent fashion, that is true, because "AVANT GARDE" was not made by her, but she's the only individual to make it as mainstream as she did, her style is very eccentric and different from almost anything in pop culture in the 80s..  Pop is relevant, it always has been, but not many musicians in general have done stadium tours, her reaching that stature, something that the greats in bon jovi, U2, maybe MJ, ended up reaching is a huge feat for her.. and she can sell them out, that's the impressive thing about it.

I myself believe her latest album, was more of an evolution from her current "TFM" era, but with a general message with a more literal tone, bad kid isn't a bad song, neither is judas, you just have to listen beneath the actual lyrics, and melodies to actual understand them, it's very interesting, and hard to explain, but it's also based on taste. I don't beleive her relevance will fall off, since her biggest songs "sheise, you and i, bloody mary, hair, gh, heavy metal lover" from her album are yet to hit single stature, those will shape her future career, especially through her use of videos, we'll see where she goes, but I don't agree that "the edge of glory" sounds like everything on the radio, nor did.. judas.. especially not judas, and her sound is definately not euro pop(maybe a soft judas would sound like euro pop).. it's more metal rock techno..

it's ok though, lady gaga isn't a goddess, she's just an individual, who made it big in the music industry, and I just felt like posting this article, so that those interested could see

I will never accept anyone but Madonna as Queen of Pop but Lady Gaga is the next best thing right now since Madge is busy doing movies instead of music.

Once again, Stadium tours are not, by any means, a measure of success for any kind of band. Heck, even Atomic Kitten did a Stadium tour for crying out loud.

Her song style isn't that different from Eurodance and that was noted very well on the whole Alejandro fiasco, which was a direct rip off of many song styles from Ace of Base. Plus, listen to bands like 2 Unlimited, Corona, Sash! and Whighfield and you'll start to find a lot of similarities between her and the musicality of those bands and a lot of Lady Gaga's musics. There's nothing bad in that, it's clearly where she got most of her inspiration as those were the songs in which she grew up. I'm not saying that her songs are identical (as their lyrical content and message are pretty different), but the bases are similar.

Plus, her looks are also very inspired by a lot of 80's scenes. You say that no one ever made the eccentric look as popular as she did, but you're forgetting iconic musicians and bands such as David Bowie, Culture Club, Cyndi Lauper, Bjork. Heck, probably the biggest eccentric of all time was no other than Freddy Mercury himself.

And please, don't ever say that Judas sounds like anything metal rock...I take that as a personal insult.

Who cares about anything Rolling Stone has to say about anything?
