Retro Studios project? Mmm.

A console 4 or 5 times more powerful than the PS3 and 360..? Day one purchase for me.

I like the sound...but it's not Nintendo. Don't buckle to the 13yr old HD and COD-only maniacs, and give us the great games we Nintendo supporters want, and love...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

What's wrong with having both..? I'm not a big fan of most of Nintendo's IPs but the thought of Zelda and Metroid Prime in 1080p has me salivating like a loon.

I'm just hoping that these FPS games are going to give you the opportunity to use remote and nunchuck pointer controls as an option. Being forced to use inferior dual analogs isn't going to be good.

Motion hasn't proved FPS is best this gen, it won't next gen either ..

It'd be good for Nintendo to appeal to a more maturer audience though.

@Seece: Pointer controls are faster, smoother and more accurate to use than dual analogs. This isn't an opinion, it's a cold hard fact mate. I'll post an animated gif that a fellah from the IGN boards made a while back, 9 targets hit (8 of which are smaller than a headshot!) and a reload in 1.8 seconds. Even if you were born with a dual analog controller in your hands and have used them 24/7 for the whole of your life such a feat is impossible with dual analog controls.

It's a real shame that developers for the PS3 have completely failed to 'borrow' the pointer controls and customisation options from any Wii FPS from The Conduit onwards as pointer controls were finally nailed by High Voltage Software in 2008...since then the standard was set and all following FPS games on the Wii were just as tight. I can't understand why they haven't done the same thing for the PS3 tbh. Killzone 3 has the best implementation on the PS3 but the controls are nowhere near as tight as they are on the Wii.

The pointer isn't motion control unless you are going to consider a mouse motion control.

Either way, pointers (mice/stylus/wiimote) have been best for FPS and pretty much anything requiring accuracy (Windows) for a long, long time.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

Although I have to say that the first Red Steel was pretty cool allowing you the option of either throwing or rolling grenades. I really loved that.
