Forums - General Discussion - Have you ever cried playing a video game. :)

No, this is due to the fact I don't get/haven't had the same emotional response to games as film, TV or life in general.

Hmm, pie.

SOTC and FFX at the time because of the game. Some newer games have triggered memories that make me cry but it's not the games themselves that do. Two that would fit in that category would be Dragon Age II and InFAMOUS 2

MGS 3 & 4 !!!!

The end of God of War: Ghost of Sparta made me almost cry. So did a scene from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and when the horse dies in Shadow of the Colossus. I believe some parts of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IX also made me tear up a little.

Um, no. Not even remotely close. It's a game. A video game. I would not be able to bring myself to cry while playing a video game. That is the definition of childish =P

Almost, when ____ died in _____. But I was slightly spoiled from reading other people's comments about the game and that it had an emotional scene. And I could tell who as the game unfolded so I was ready for it when it came.

I think MGS3 made me cry. It's been a long time and the manly part of my memory blocks out such things and replaces it with thoughts of boobs.

I almost cried when I played FF13 when I realized that I blew $60...........just kidding. FF13 was flawed fun.

Final Fantasy X got me, though. When Tidus was fading away and Yuna was trying to touch him--that ending was just perfect.

no lol, story telling in games isnt THAT good yet

I cried at Flower but I have no idea why

I also nearly cried:

> near the ends of Persona 4 & Uncharted 2, at how the stories almost turned out, but mostly because I had finished two amazing games

> at the first few levels of Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly - it was terrible.

I shouldn't admit this, considering the game gets so much hate on the internet but......I cried during Metroid: Other M. It wasn't even about the game or anything, either. I played Super Metroid back in 1994 and it was a great game. More recently, I played Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission so I don't know why it didn't happen with those games. Anyway, I was trying to figure out a particular puzzle that had taken me a long time to work out. I solved that puzzle (it wasn't even that complicated, now that I think about it) and suddenly, I felt like a kid again. I don't know when the last time I felt like that was.

I felt like I was back at my mom's house, my grandma was still alive, and all sorts of old emotions that have long sense faded were triggered by a video game puzzle. I cried so hard that I had to turn the console off. Hell, I'm actually getting a little misty eyed while typing this post. It's crazy. Maybe I have some sort of psychological disorder or something. I'm afraid that if I go to a psychiatrist, I'll find out that I was molested by a metroid or something.

A tear is running down my right cheek this very moment!! I don't know why!
