Novarama Technology, the Barcelona-based developer behind PSP’s Invizimals and the upcoming PlayStation Vita fighter Reality Fighters, has a new family. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has acquired the studio, which specializes in augmented reality technology.  

“This strategic alliance with one of Europe’s brightest developers, a developer with unrivaled experience of augmented reality games shows our determination to work with creative and innovative developers,” said SCE Worldwide Studios Europe Senior VP Michael Denny.

Novarama CEO Dani Sanchez-Crespo is also enthusiastic about the merger, adding: “These are exciting times to be part of the Sony family. With PSVita on the horizon, the possibilities for creativity are endless.”

PlayStation Vita will launch this holiday in North America and in 2012 in Europe.

and yea I do have my doubts about the game but for a type of game it is, it actually looked fun! and maybe I'm wrong but I remember hearing you have around 70 moves you can execute for each fighter type or something..if true that's broderlining Tekken 0_o

and the game is about AR and that's some very impressive results..I'm thinking sony will want this guys to keep making AR games

well its good they are trying to get AR games developed more, they could be a real hit if it takes off, I think with Invizimals and if they took over the Eye OF Judgement games, they could be a good developer in a few years
