Gahh.
I didn't read too much on purpose, but is that a whip in the items/weapons? If so no doubt it will also double as some kind of grapple (I would like to be able to steal items from enemies like in WW), I can't really guess what else it is if not a whip.

Yes, that's a whip. It has already been showcased at last year's E3. Either you didn't pay attention or your memory is horrible.

I guess not watching any of it could be construed as not paying attention.

I just hope that it doesn't play out similar to The Wind Waker. You had that great sea and most of the islands turned out to be really small stuff with barely anything to it. Hearing about a mainland beneath the clouds is nice, but if that ends up being small areas only being accessible from certain spots in the clouds, then it's going to be the same as The Wind Waker.

Another thing I don't like concerns the items. A slingshot and bow? The former is just a getting-the-game-started-substitute for the latter and therefore becomes worthless once you've got the bow.

An interview a few days ago said this would be a open world type Zelda game, so maybe it won't be like Wind Waker in that respect but will be a real large world where you can go to most places (obviously some places will have to be locked for plot/game difficulty purposes).

By god i remember how pointless some of those islands were. One of them was just a crescent-moon shaped reef sticking up out of the briny, and another was just a pair of metal nubs
