But Kinect isn't poor quality.............Dance Central, Kinect Adventures, and Kinect Sports are some of the most fun I've had this gen......

I'm not saying it is poor quality. Im saying what we keep seeing leaves much to be desired. Thats just the general concensus and even 2 of the 3 games you mentioned were sub 75 on meta. They just arent generally well received. Say what you will about reviews but very rarely are great games rated sub 75 overall unanimously.

As long as youre having fun thats all that matters though for you so just because the majority of gamers arent happy doesnt take away from your joy.

There is no company thats totally core now , just cos PS3 didn't succeed with the move doesn't mean that they dont want casual audience

This is commonly miss udnerstood. Move was a big succsess for sony (it has sold a few million units). However it hasnt been anywhere near as succsesfull as kinect. But it would silly to call it a failure :)

With news that Ubisoft, the king of cashing in, won't support Move, it should be clear how successful Sony's motion controller really was. It's not even worth it to make a cheap port of a Wii game.

Just Dance 3 was comfirmed for the move. Nuff said....

microsoft has never been great when it comes to 1st party titles. Every its the same cycle of halo or gears, forza and fable. This year its no different. Thye used to rely on bioware to really give them the uperhand over ps3 exclusives.

I think it is great what they are doing and should direct even more focus at the casual gamers.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I wouldn't expect gears to give them the win, rather kinect casual holoday surge plus 100 dollar kinect bundle price drop

Wii always has the biggest holiday boost.

Gears is a sequel, it will sell to those who already own a 360.

Wii will win this holidays, no doubt about it

@steverhcp02

Dance Central has sold over 2 million copies, Kinect Adventures over 10 million, and Kinect Sports over 3 million copies.

Who gives a damn what metacritic says, really a bunch of Core gamers reviewing more casual and party type games what do you think they are gonna give it score wise?

Sales speak for themselves and saying the majority of gamers aren't happy is rediculous. The majority of internet geeks who sit on forum boards aren't happy, actual consumers speak differently as is obvious in the sales.

Don't have to apologize to me, I own a PS3 too

How about enough with the Kinect is for the core BS, it's a gimmick to lure in the young and the casual, for some reason MS been to embarrassed to admit that, and now with this defensive statement saying what everybody with half a brain already knew: MS is in the business of making money, if lying to the core audience while trading them in for little kids makes the investors happy, then that's what MS will do. MS is a corporation; an unfeeling, uncaring, unliving entity that exists for the sole purpose of generating revenue. Fanboys unite.

Wii does usually win the holidays, I don't think it is guaranteed to win this year.

Dont see how MS can win this year, they have been losing to PS3 all year and i dont know how long the Wii boost will last. Unless they are talking fiscal year. And this crap about people moving on to core games is just that crap. It wasnt true when Ninty said it with Wii and its not true now. Your aunty and grandma who bought Kinect for dancing and exercise dont give a damn about Halo or Gears, if they did they would have been playing those games already.

Kudos to MS, at least they are supporting their damn add-on unlike some companies. And there not content to just release dance games, exercise, and mini game compilations, because we do not have enough of those
