Many bands say otherwise, I'll start with Black Sabbath.

A safe bet, since as an originator of the genre they automatically get bonus points when ranking. However BTB is still better overall.

1st: Epica - The Phantom Agony (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCyFLH5fFhc)

2nd: Nightwish - Over The Hills and Far Away (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UztEfwHt14)

3rd: Phantom of the Opera OST - Phantom of the Opera (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej1zMxbhOO0)

All in English. Epica is a dutch band, Nightwish is a finnish band and the original Phantom of the Opera is a british musical (THE musical).

Why have I not heard Epica before? It so so over the top and EPIC, which is how I love my metal.

They have some pretty epic musics, and they have been around for a while (since 2002, when Mark Jansen left After Forever). They carry on with the After Forever legacy of mixing Symphonic metal with epic chords and powerful female voices (Simone Simmons is a goddess, both in voice and features ).

I can point you towards a few personal favourites of mine from Epica, such as Burn to a Cinder, Blank Infinity, Cry for the Moon, Unleashed, Semblance of Liberty, Consign to Oblivion, Quietus, Feint, Chasing the Dragon, Never Enough, Martyr of the Free Word, Sancta Terra, Mother of Light and Illusive Consensus.

Their best albuns, so far, have been The Phantom Agony and Consign to Oblivion, though their latest one, Design your Universe is pretty epic as well. I also recommend you (if you enjoyed the original versions) to listen to their rendition of the Imperial March and POTC themes.

Kinda of a tall accomplishment to be called the best metal band of all time, especially when they're hardly known outside the US. They still have a lot of ground to cover if they want to be called that. Heck, I think that Epica, Nightwish, Cradle of Filth, Moonspell and After Forever are some of the best bands of metal ever, but they're nothing compared to some of the true best of all time like Metallica, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, Sepultura, Slayer, Megadeath and AC/DC.

um, it is pretty much a tie for all three top songs for me.

Call Me-Shinedown

45-Shinedown

I Dare You-Shinedown

Each one of these is a final song on one of their 3 total albums they have released. The singing is absolutely and totally mind boggling, not to mention the lyrics are phenomenal.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

I can definitely say that i have no favorite music, though it always follows a similair soundpattern.
But those are pretty much my most heard ones.
