Let's hope PS4 releases a little bit later, that's the next gen console I will be buying anyway.

EDIT: I meant that I will buy the PS4 regardless, it wasn't a dig at the XBOX 720, an E3 2012 reveal is too early IMO and I am not willing to spend that amount of money so early.

I wonder how what Microsoft's plans with 720 (as well as its name) are. Will they expand with Kinect, with maybe physical controls like PSEye?

isn't it obvious that they will release soon? the real war (at E3) begins in 2012! pity we have to wait a year for it...

360 will be 7 years old by the end of 2012. Historically sony releases a new console every 6 years.

then again we all know and knew that gen will be longer... it was planned and it is supposed to be especially for hardware like PS3 launched a 600 bucks... but beside that the life cycle are bound to become longer and longer.... if they keep doing big jumps between hardware..... or get reallly short if they take the apple approach "let's do some little better crap every 12 month" style.... but I doubt that approach is suitable for console and even for SMARTphones on the long run and especially very long run....

Can't wait. Really have to hope that they start pushing the boundaries and limits of what these consoles can do though. I'd like to see some sort of better keyboard integration and more MMO based titles for the console. I really think game development companies have missed the boat as far as targeting the masses for online games.
