Forums - Gaming Discussion - hardcore gamer = hardcore loser

The problem with these so called "hardcore gamers" is, to simplify, that they have lost their north.

Remember how this started? It was the answer from some fanboys of Sony and Microsoft to the reveal of the Wii and its controller. And Wii's success only made things worse and the hate grew to a point where just having a Wii was seen as a menace to the industry.

And now think of these poor guys when Microsoft released not a Wii ripoff like Sony but something without even a single button!

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I think gamers who aren't happy over Kinect are just disappointed that Microsoft isn't supporting them as much, like at E3, Kinect got a lot of hype and attention, but not many new hardcore oriented titles (nothing like a new gears or something, or even something smaller like Crackdown)

but more importantly, you pay attention to what N4G comments say? :P

Pretty much this.

I don't have a problem with Microsoft making games which should appeal to a more casual audience, but you can't deny the fact there's a lack of "hardcore" exclusive games this year for the 360. They just don't have that many "hardcore" exclusive games this year compared to last year where they had 8 or something like that. There's a correlation between the fact there are more casual/kinect games and less "kinect-less" games. More money goes into kinect, less goes into the rest...

i came to this realization also not in gaming terms only but in other stuff also

its a problem with everything hardcore fan of football,tech,gaming,clothing,etc

that we take it so like a war that we start to think everybody is like that and we try to battle everything don't keep our mind open

though in gaming terms i agree where a gamer feels who they supported all this time betrays them,we don't mind ninty,sony,ms to not make for the casual audience.its just that they completlt go that way

at first you may say they are catering both but then when you see that they found a bigger market outseide core gamers which doesn't even expect much quality,they start to shift resource and make less and less big games

The 3 levels of hardcore gaming

1. Playing games for fun/story/graphics/preferences/etc. (Dead Space, Final fantasy)

2. Playing multiplayer games that force you to get better as you play them. (TF2, BF, COD)

3. Being korean and playing Counter-Strike and Starcraft. (Korean + CS = You're unstoppable)

Korea sucks at CS. U probably mean SC.

CS = European
SC= Korea / China

:D

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

i'd have thought there was enough shooters and multiplayer for the so called hardcore to be getting suck into,whats wrong with them and well done Dortmund

Sometimes it's hard to people to understand the Wii Sports, Wii Fit and even Kinect Adventures are more important for theirs companies that most of the hi end niche hardcore games.
