Agreed. 200 bucks is so cheap people who want one have no reason not to get one.
Time for hype

Why is everyone calling Zelda OOT 3D a flop?
I actually didn't expect it to sell as much as it did...especially in Japan. The boost for 3DS was also higher than I thought it would be. Most people are not willing to buy a system(Especially at $250) for 1 game. I guess people had overly high expectations for both Zelda and the 3DS?
Pretty boring sales all around for everyone. I'm still highly unimpressed with 3DS sales. You know I really think phones and tablits are really starting to impact the handheld market.
Infamous 2 is off to a pretty slow start, something thats been affecting most PS3 excluisves this year.
Duke Nukem Forever is somehow selling despite horrendous reviews. I haven't played the game myself though so I can't really comment on the quality.
Portal 2 on 360 is now a million seller on the console.
Halo Reach showing freaking amazing legs.
Red Faction Armagedon is bombing hard.
Low start for Child of Eden but it is a pretty niche title hopefully the good reviews help give it some legs.
WW:
Very good Wii, it could stabilize at quite high sales. Good PS3. Good % boost WoW for 3DS, but despite receiving from Zelda a very good boost in Japan and an excellent one in EMEAA, it can still beat by less than 20k PSP, that, by the way, is almost dead in America, not an achievement to call home about. Kinect, despite a (little) help from Child of Eden, is down, and Balance Board beats it almost 2:1.
Japan:
Good boost from Zelda for 3DS, good week overall, except for PS3 that has a little drop after the Yakuza launch little boost.
infamous 2 couldn't break 500,000 in 2 weeks,i really thought it should
i've read a couple people liked alice on the other sales threads and agree with what doobie said,i quite like the look of dungeon siege and shadow of the damned so along with alice will pick them up on the cheap street over the summer hopefully to see what they are like
if only the usa had a bit more psp love,it would be so happy
ooT surely cant be a full week, still a good launch for an old remake imo, eden bombed hard so did red faction
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
i don't get the sour grapes for OoT performance. it is a port of a game you can play on the N64, GC, WiiWare and now 3ds.
as far as i'm conserned the hardware boost and software sales are pretty damn good. there are very few ports that can do that well.

Well it's the reason I will might buy a 3DS. But certainly not at full price (for 3DS or the game), and I don't own / haven't played the original. So I'm probably in a relatively small group of potential buyers. inFamous 2 2nd week drop is OK but I was hoping for a more rapid move up to 1 million than what this drop indicates. Duke Nukem is doing better than the reviews would suggest it should. But it's still going to end up doing relatively poorly because it's just not that great of a game. Reviews may be lower than they should be because of the game's history and pedigree but they aren't too far off. I think it's heading towards being the poorest performing FPS of the generation. It might sell more than some FPSs in an absolute sense, but for the good will the original brings to DNF this game is going to be like PS3 sales performance relative to PS2. |
imho u should rectify that soon. its on wiiware
