strictly speaking, the best portable gaming machine would be a gaming laptop 

 

:P anyway, I think graphics wise, it certainly is the most powerful portable, and the amount of hardware put into the device is amazing, but time will tell weather its software library is good enough to make it the best portbale ever

No, they are saying it is a gimmick just like the DS and Wii.
