Super Mario Galaxy IS the best game this year!

Also Im not at all supprise that there were so many 360 games. It had a wonderful year for games and overall still has the best line up.

It's interesting looking at the current user reader's choice voting. COD4 has twice the amount of votes as SMG so far.

I'm not suprised there were no PS3 nominees this year - 2008 is definitely appearing to be the year for PS3 games, GT5 and MGS4 will definitely appear next year.

I'm suprised that Gamespot chose a Wii game as the winner though - they have always shown a slight bias towards the '360 side of things.

Oh and I still think IGN is the most important GotY

Yeah, but they chose the Xbox 360 versions over the Playstation 3 versions.

It looks like for their choices, they picked the 360 versions of those games.

Although, for the readers vote they have all of them listed:

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (X360/PS3/PC)

Rock Band (X360/PS3/PS2)

Bioshock supporter here. Wii and 360 had better lineups that is why there is no PS3 games. 360 easily had best lineup this year.

Edit: Gamespot still sucks. 

It deserves it.
