Which Controller is better?

The PS3 Controller 110 42.15%

The Xbox 360 Controller 108 41.38%

See Results 42 16.09%

Total:260

I would prefer the 360 controller for FPS, and racing ga,es, but the PS3 for everything else. Sony just needs to make the PS3 controller a little bit bigger.

There is no better controller. Each controller is great at some things and average at others; they balance each other out in the end.

tie, but imma say that whole 360 d-pad issue with fighters is bs just use the analog stick thats all i ever use for fighters on consoles and im quite awesome at tekken. And i can pull any move off in any other fighter pretty easily.

you can get away with it playing tekken. have u tried using the analog stick with mortal kombat, street fighter, or marvel vs capcom?

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

Who plays fighters with the default pads anyways, you should be playing on a stick.

I prefer the weight, d-pad, buttons and analog stick positions of the dualshock controller, but like the triggers and concave tops of the analog sticks better from the 360 controller.

Maybe next gen will have the perfect controller.

I agree with your description, but I do like how the 360 controller fits my hands better. I like the ergonomics of it, even though that doesn't necessarily translate into gameplay.

Like you say, next gen

I prefer the 360 controller myself for various reasons. It's larger (I'm an adult with average sized hands), heavier, triggers are better than shoulder buttons (imo), analog stick placement, analog stick design, and the overall shape is just more comfortable in my hands when I hold it.

But both of them are a joke for fighting games, and I don't understand why anyone would want to use either of them if they didn't have to. The Dual-shock is better than the 360 controller for fighters, but that's setting the bar pretty damn low.

If you are serious about Fighters, or if you care even a little you should consider ditching the stock controllers. Get yourself a dedicated Fighting pad at the very least, or an arcade stick if you really care about the genre.

This basically shits on both of them, and it's affordable.

The PS3 controller feels too light and small compared to the 360 controller. It's analog sticks are also much more sensitive than the 360 controller's (which makes it bad for FPS/Racing games). I personally think the 360 has a much better controller. I also don't think Sony should revamp their button style to match the 360's because the horizontal directional sticks on the dualshock are actually beneficial in some games.

That's what I do. I never really understood the big fuss over the placement of the d-pad ruining fighting games on the 360...

PS3 controller all the way! Had a 360 for 6 months and sold it as the games werent appealing to me and the controller i just could not get used to!
