Why would anyone get excited over something that has no real value?

Getting achievements and trophy's don't make you a better gamer for that matter either.

Does it ever bug you that some great old PS3 titles have no trophies? e.g. MGS4? Valkeria Chronicles? etc

These two are exceptions... but if they have a trophies patch I will  replay again.

I did that for Uncharted 1. Wish the patched more games.

I'm not too crazy about achievements. I feel like they are a cop out for providing an artificial sense of accomplishment that the game itself should be able to offer. That said, I do still go for achievemnts if I feel it'll be enjoyable to do so, but I don't bust my ass spending a bunch of time doing something too difficult or repetitive just to get one.
