hmm if the demo we saw was on underclocked systems and that they are receiving new dev kits with more power then what does this mean?

it probably means it wasn't that impressive in the first place... which imo it wasn't

Actually it was but sure dude whatever

do you really believe it couldn't have been achieved on the ps3 or 360?

Is it really a bad thing to keep development cost down?

It's a very bad news on the long run but I'm okay with it right now.

That's fine, I'm still getting it

I would be really disappointed... I mean they really havent learned their mistakes from last gen? now i wish the 50% number is true :P

in 1080p? no

You should check the demo that was shown on the floor as it had more realistic lighting and textures than the one shown on the E3 preconference

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

We all know Shigsy does not mess with technology, he's only involved with design of games. I wonder when was the last time he programmed for a game.

1080p is nothing special wipeout HD and gran turismo 5 for ps3 both run at 1080p at 60 fps so whos to say this couldn't?

I could care less about it's power, I'm more concerned over the issue of if it works or not.

"I don't know what this Yamcha is, but it sounds just like Raditz."

The key word was "dramatically." He did not say it was not more powerful than the current systems. This is especially true if all games are 1080p (which the current HD systems are not).

What that means it is more powerful, but not the leap of PS2 to PS3 or Xbox to Xbox 360. But it is a big leap form Wii to Wii U.

And while some hear don't believe it, the industry (competitors) must. We have gone from 10-year console cycle to 2014 for new consoles to predicted reveals by Sony and Microsoft at E3 2012. And both have to have some B/C in their consoles, given the efforts made to add motion gaming elements five years after release. And if they do not, there is no reason why not to go to the Wii U, especially if it gets a wide(r) selection of games and has a unique second screen.
