I can make some awesome pasta, and some awesome full american breakfast.

But I can't make cakes though. For that, I need a girl.

stick a fork in if it's still hard they probably aren't ready if the fork easily punctured it then it's ready... Depends on the veg tho

I can prepare a ready made snack like a champ...but seriously if it has more steps than 'add boiling water', or 'place in microwave' I'm out!

That's funny you posted this. I was looking into buying some decent knives earlier this year and I looked at some of the Globals as well as a bunch of other Japanese steel. Then I realized that I don't have a good cutting board so after looking into that, I decided I wanted to make one. THEN I realized that I don't have the tools to do it so the whole idea got put on the shelf. 

Yeah kinda, more often than not is how well you follow recipes. I enjoy cooking too, find it relaxing for some reason, funny thing is my mother loathes cooking.

Any real man can feed his family, which includes hunting (earn money, go food shopping) and roasting the game over a fire (cooking).

Baking though is for the girls. However, ovens are for big pieces of meat, not wheat mixed with sugar.

Sharp knives are less likely to cause you to cut yourself since they don't slip off whatever you're cutting.

Doesn't have to be over $100 each though :)

It's a lot of fun when the knives are sharp, too. You can cut stuff with much ease.

I can cook, and I can bake, too. I don't make too many different kinds of things, but the things I can make are usually rather tasty. My friends tease me about the number of spices I have.

I have my Grandmother's sourdough starter and make French Bread, Bisquits (That's how she spells it) and Pancakes sometimes from scratch.
