OT: Yes, I can cook quite well, I'm the primary cook in my house. I'm not into elaborate dishes or anything, I just don't have the time to invest at this point but I can see myself really getting into it later in life. Quick tip for cooking chickens and roasts, get a roasting rack and pan. I could not believe the difference when cooking on the rack, I will NEVER roast a chicken again without a rack. I use an olive oil based rub on the entire bird and inside the cavity. Put the bird on the rack with the breast down cook for 10 mins on a high heat like 425 then bring it back down to 325-350 and let it roast like that till internal temp is about 150+. You can finish the bird at high heat again to get it real golden on the outside if you'd like. The best thing about using this method is that the breast meat will be incredibly tender and moist due to the juices running down the bird as it cooks. It's really off the hook.

Well, let's put it this way - I can survive on my own, and not subsist on a fast food diet. When cooking for myself, I usually tend to make hot sandwiches/paninis, pastas, or fried rice. I'm self-conscious though, about my cooking. I don't like cooking in front of anyone else...I don't know why.
